Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) today announces the cast for the new holiday classic, Elf The Musical, running Dec. 6 - 22 at Hobby Center's Sarofim Hall.

Walnut Street Theatre continues its landmark 205TH season with an all-new production of Broadway's family musical, ELF. Based on the Hollywood hit, and directed and choreographed by Marc Robin, this production will bring the Sparklejollytwinklejingley to Philadelphia audiences this holiday season. 5th Avenue Theatre Executive Producer and Artistic Director David Armstrong yesterday announced the seven productions making up the celebrated Seattle musical theater's 2012-13 season. The program features a mix of contemporary musicals and timeless classics, plus Seattle's first peek at some of Broadway's greatest new hits.

The New York Times is reporting that the new musical adaption of the 2003 comedy film Elf will hit Broadway for the holiday season, opening at the Al Hirschfeld Theater in November and running through New Years.

Heat Vision blog is reporting George Lucas is currently developing a CGI-animated musical at his home at Skywalker Ranch. Currently the film is untitled and is directed by Kevin Munroe, director of the 2007 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle animated film.

Michael Riedel reports in the New York Post that Will Ferrell's 2003 comedy Elf may be getting Broadway treatment, as a production underwent an industry staged reading last week. Riedel alleges that the buzz surrounding the reading has been positive.
