Klea Blackhurst, Andrew Samonsky and More Set for York's HAPPY HUNTING, 3/15-17

The York Theatre Company continues the Winter 2013 Musicals in Mufti Series with the 1956 musical hit, Happy Hunting, with book by Howard Lindsay and Russell Crouse, lyrics by Matt Dubey and music by Harold Karr. Directed by David Glenn Armstrong and with music direction by David Andrews Rogers, the cast stars KLea Blackhurst, and will feature Janine DiVita, Joy Franz, Jessica Grové, Seán Martin Hingston, Michael McCormick, Heather Parcells, Andrew Samonsky, Eric Sciotto, Michael Sharon, Eric Sciotto and Lynne Wintersteller.

Beth Leavel to Star in Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma's CALL ME MADAM

Tony Award-winning actor Beth Leavel will join the Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma's upcoming production of CALL ME MADAM, playing the role of Sally Adams July 24-28. Leavel previously appeared with the Lyric as Mrs. Hannigin in a 2004 production of ANNIE.

Thousands will audition, 24 get to the stage, but in the end only eight will get the opportunity to do what they've always wanted - to have the chance to dance. This is the story of the ones who make it and the ones who don't. Winner of nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Musical Score and Best Choreography, this show features the Broadway showstoppers such as 'I Hope I Get It,' 'At the Ballet,' 'What I Did for Love' and 'ONE.'

Topol In 'Fiddler On The Roof' Kicks Off Ft. Lauderdale Broadway Across America Season

Revisiting one of the great performances in the history of modern American musical theater, local theater devotees will have the opportunity to once again experience the brilliant TOPOL as he performs his Oscar-nominated role of Tevye in his farewell tour of the multi Tony Award-winning Broadway musical FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. Playing Tuesday, October 6 through Sunday, October 18, FIDDLER marks the opening show of the Broadway Across America-Ft. Lauderdale 2009-2010 season which will present six-major musical productions presented by Florida Theatrical Association at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

Morton Led Private Industry Reading Of CALIGULA Will Feature Six Piece Band

Rich Affannato in association with Meri Krassner will present a special invitational reading of the new musical, CALIGULA, with book, music & lyrics by Eric Svejcar, for two performances next Monday, July 13 and Tuesday, July 14 at 3 p.m. at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street). Under the direction of Chris Presley, the cast features Euan Morton (Taboo) in the title role, with Autumn Hurlbert (MTV's Legally Blonde: The Search for Elle Woods), Matt Bogart (Jersey Boys, Aida), and Anastasia Barzee (White Christmas, Urinetown). These presentations of CALIGULA will be backed by a six-piece band led by Musical Director David Andrews Rogers.
