B Street Theatre Presents THE LEGEND OF GEORGIA MCBRIDE

The Legend of Georgia McBride received its World Premiere at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts in December of 2014 and since then, has become one of the most produced new plays in American regional theatres with productions by Marin Theatre, The Guthrie, Arden Theatre, ACT in Seattle, Cygnet Theatre Company, Hippodrome State Theatre, Uptown Theatres, and others.

B Street Theatre Presents IRONBOUND

Ironbound made its premiere at the New Works Festival at the Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago. It was produced later at the Round House Theatre in Bethesda, Maryland and made its Off-Broadway debut at the Rattlestick Playwright's Theatre.

B Street Theatre Extends THE LADIES FOURSOME Due To Popular Demand

The Ladies Foursome was based upon an earlier play by Foster entitled The Foursome, in which four men who are old buddies from college, play 18 holes of golf. Foster shifted the story to feature four women instead of four men, and changed the plot in specific ways to fit his new cast of characters. Ladies Foursome premiered at the Morrisburg Theatre in Montreal, Canada in July of 2014. The show received glowing reviews with many critics claiming that this new Foursome was better than the first. Soon after, the play received an American premiere at the B Street Theatre, and since then has been produced at the Bay Theatre in Baltimore, Theatre Baddeck in Cape Brenton Island, and the Toowoomba Theatre in Canada.

B Street Stages WE'RE GONNA BE OKAY

We're Gonna Be Okay received its world premiere in the 2017 Humana Festival and was met with rave reviews for its unique way of telling a story many Americans are familiar with, The Cuban Missile Crisis. It later was produced at the American Theatre Company in Chicago and was listed as one of Time Out: Chicago's "24 Shows To See In January." The story follows two average American families during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

B Street Theatre Presents Chelsea Marcantel's AIRNESS

Chelsea Marcantel is not an air guitarist. Nor is she a part of an air guitar shredding family. She found the world through a former boyfriend she met in Chicago. "I thought...this is the dumbest thing I've ever heard." The relationship did not work out, however, Marcantel found herself going down a "Youtube Wormhole" of air guitar performances. And after watching the acclaimed documentary Air Guitar Nation, she began writing a play about the world of imaginary soloing.

ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS Comes to Sofia Tsakopoulos Center for the Arts

The premiere play at the Sofia Tsakopoulos Center for the Arts, One Man, Two Guvnors, tells the story of Frances Henshall, an out - of - work skiffle player who becomes separately employed by two gangsters - Roscoe Crabbe and Stanley Stubber s. Watch Frances juggle jobs and fall in love, but ultimately hope for just one bite to eat. WHEN: January 30, 2018 to March 4, 2018

B Street Theatre's Mainstage presents A MOVING DAY

Patrick Ignatius' house is being foreclosed. Although he has not lived there for many years, he returns to Cleveland to find something. Frank and Casey are the movers assigned to empty the house. Patrick appeals to them to let him stay for one more night, to find that particular something he thought was long gone. With the help of a deranged street urchin named Mouse, Patrick pulls apart the house, attempting to find what he seeks, but uncovering ghosts and truths long buried. And it's a comedy.

B Street Theatre Announces WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF

Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf is Edward Albee's first Broadway production and is considered now to be a contemporary American classic. Opening on Broadway on October 13, 1962, and starring Uta Hagen and Arthur Hill, the original productions received both critical acclaim and public scorn for its confrontational characters, bitter philosophy on love, and realistic quality on an aging couple with a dark past.

B Street Theatre Presents BLOOMSDAY

Bloomsday was commissioned by the ACT theatre in Seattle, Washington and premiered there in September of 2015, where it received rave reviews. The play has received further productions throughout the country: the Ensemble Theatre in Cincinnati, Ohio, Austin Playhouse in Austin, Texas, and the Next ACT Theatre in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

B Street Theatre's Mainstage Presents HAND TO GOD

Hand to God premiered at the Ensemble Studio Theatre in New York City in October 2011 and returned in February 2012. It opened Off-Broadway at the Lucille Lortel Theatre on March 14, 2014 and made its Broadway debut at the Boothe Theatre on April 7, 2015.

B Street Theatre Presents LUNGS

An international success, Duncan Macmillan's Lungs is a thoughtful play about a couple deliberating whether to have a child during a time of global anxiety, political unrest, terrorism, and erratic weather.

B Street Theatre to Host A Digital Privacy Event

Join in for a special event addressing the modern issues surrounding digital privacy. B Street Theatre partners with the The Goethe-Institut in Washington D.C. to present short plays written by playwrights across the country and the globe as they explore the challenges of the digital age. The evening will feature an hour long performance and talk-back followed by a social hour with cocktails and music. This event is associated with The Plurality of Privacy Project in Five-Minute plays (P3M5).

HAND TO GOD and More to Kick Off B Street Theatre's 26th Season

B Street Theatre has announced the first three productions in their 26th Mainstage Season. This season will feature James Goldman's contemporary classic The Lion in Winter; Steven Dietz's unique romance Bloomsday; and the Tony-nominated play Hand to God by Robert Askins.
