Ruth Eckerd Hall presents Dave Koz 20th Anniversary Christmas Tour with special guests David Benoit, Rick Braun, Peter White and for the first time, Selina Albright on Wednesday, November 29 at 7:30 pm.  Tickets go on sale Saturday, June 3 at noon.

For over two decades, the Balcones Heights Jazz Festival has been a summer highlight captivating jazz aficionados from across Texas with a free stellar line-up of renowned jazz stars from across the country. This year's performance features a diverse line-up of headlining and special opening acts, new to the Jazz Festival.

Mesa Arts Center today announced its 2017-18 Performing Live season. Tickets go on sale Monday, May 22 at 10 a.m. and will be available at the Mesa Arts Center Box Office, at 480-644-6500, or mesaartscenter.com.

Tickets go on sale this week for the world premiere of the Broadway-bound new musical Mean Girls, with a book by nine-time Emmy Award winner Tina Fey, based on her screenplay for the Paramount Pictures film; music by three-time Emmy Award winner Jeff Richmond ('30 Rock,' 'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt'); and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde). Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon, Something Rotten!) directs and choreographs. 

The word Artist is never more accurately applied to an entertainer then when it is used to describe Clint Holmes.  Clint starts with a familiar song title on a blank music  page, and then goes on to create something you never thought that tune could become.   His vocal, jazz, acting ability, combined with his creativity cross every music red, blue, black and white music line you ever laid down.  Most of the audience at Jim Caruso's Broadway at Birdland Series were already 'educated consumers' at his performance celebrating the CD Release of 'Rendezvous'  last night.  However, for all, it was a reminder of what a truly great performer can brilliantly accomplish with the same 12 notes and combination of beats that all vocalists have at their disposal.  

The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts celebrated the musical legacy of Henry Mancini, one of the world's greatest composers, conductors and arrangers, on Saturday, April 1, 2017. Downtown Phoenix joins more than 196 global Jazz Day celebrations designated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to celebrate jazz and the role it plays in uniting people around the world. April 26th kicks off this year's Int'l Jazz Day Weekend at the AZ State Capitol.

April offers an eclectic lineup at Blue Note Hawaii, the state's premier venue for the world's most celebrated artists, continuing the series with Blood Sweat & Tears, followed up by local favorite Jake Shimabukuro, the Devon Allman Band, and Roseanne Barr ushering in the new Blue Note Comedy Series April 8th and 9th.

The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts celebrates the musical legacy of Henry Mancini, one of the world's greatest composers, conductors and arrangers, on Saturday, April 1, 2017. From 'Moon River' to 'The Days of Wine and Roses' to the 'Peter Gunn Theme,' the music of Henry Mancini has helped define American film and television soundtracks for nearly five decades, and earned the legendary composer four Academy Awards, twenty Grammy Awards and numerous other honors, including a U.S. Postage Stamp. The evening not only honors Henry Mancini, but also celebrates Ginny Mancini and the Mancini family with a special performance by the Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami-their first Los Angeles appearance since their move to Florida-with all proceeds benefiting the artistic, educational and outreach programs of The Wallis.

And so the happy Party continues. Because of some international press, Cast Party is high on the To-Do List for people from across the globe. Caruso explains, "Cast Party is like the Ellis Island of showbiz.

The 47th Annual Next Generation Jazz Festival Presented by Monterey Jazz Festival takes place March 31- April 2, 2017 in downtown Monterey. The weekend-long event includes big bands, combos, vocal ensembles, and individual musicians vying for a spot on the stages of the 60th Annual Monterey Jazz Festival. Sponsored by the City of Monterey and the California Jazz Conservatory, all competition events are open to the public, free of charge.

Nat King Cole broke the pop barrier in 1943 when his "Straighten Up and Fly Right" soared up the charts. His smooth, smoky vocals continued to rack up pop hit after hit, but his piano technique, vocal phrasings, and on-the-mark orchestration always hinted to his early roots in jazz.

Like Elvis, Clint Homes creates the kind of excitement during his performance that causes the audience to flock into the lobby after his show and wait to get a glimpse of probably one of the most talented jazz pop entertainers on the planet.  An electrified  Palm Beach crowd filed out of The  Colony Hotel's Royal Room last night to purchase   his new CD 'Rendevous' and BroadwayWorld was there.
