Darren Lee Cole, producing director of the not-for-profit, SoHo Playhouse has announced the first round of selections for this year's Fringe Encore Series. The first set of productions hail from Adelaide, Brighton, and Hollywood Fringe Festivals and will take place between September 5 - October 22, 2017.

Ambassador Theatre Group and NETworks Presentations LLC announce that Laura Michelle Kelly (Anna Leonowens) and Jose Llana (King of Siam) will lead the national tour of the Lincoln Center Theater production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's THE KING AND I.

Darren Lee Cole, producing director of the not-for-profit, SoHo Playhouse, will continue its tradition of bringing the 'Best of the Fests' for extended runs at the SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street, NYC) with its celebrated Fringe Encore Series, taking place from September 5 - October 22, 2017.

NY's SoHo Playhouse in association with Dan Daw Creative Projects and Murmuration (AUS) present will present the US debut of ON ONE CONDITION, directed by Graham Adey and performed by Dan Daw. It will play at the SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street), from May 18 - 26, 2017. 

NY's SoHo Playhouse will extend the Off-Broadway debut of YouTube sensation Katie Goodman's Broad Comedy through May. The internationally-touring riotous, ridiculous, and in-your-face all-women troupe, Broad Comedy, stars Danielle Cohn, Molly Kelleher, Tana Sirois, Carlita Victoria and Katie Goodman.

Ambassador Theatre Group and NETworks Presentations LLC announced that Laura Michelle Kelly (Anna Leonowens) and Jose Llana (King of Siam) will lead the national tour of the Lincoln Center Theater production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's THE KING AND I. The multiple Tony Award-winning Broadway hit will run at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County for a limited time starting May 9 through May 14, 2017.

One of the grande dames of the 1950s, THE KING AND I retains its exalted place in the R & H pantheon, thanks to the artistry of Director Bartlett Sher, a songbird by the name of Laura Michelle Kelly, and a flawed King of Siam for our times, Jose Llana.

Broadway In Chicago has announced that individual tickets for the Chicago premiere of The Lincoln Center Theater Production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's THE KING AND I will go on sale Friday, March 31, 2017.

The National Tour of The King and I, which won a Tony Award for Best Revival in 2015, is opened at the Pantages Theater in Los Angeles last night, and will play through January 21st, 2017. Fantastic Z Theatre is closing out their season of gay comedy with the campy take on 50's sci-fi, Buddy Thomas and Kenneth Elliott's 'Devil Boys From Beyond'. And while this crazy romp certainly has the fun of their previous shows, at times the camp gets to be a bit much to the point of lacking focus and it's there where the play suffers.
