Wagner College Theatre Presents HAIR

The award-winning Wagner College Theatre, as part of its 50th Anniversary Season, is proud to present the great American rock musical, HAIR, with performances April 19-29 in Main Hall.

Featuring a timeless score by Staten Island's own Galt MacDermot, with book and lyrics by James Rado and Gerome Ragni, Wagner's HAIR is directed by Broadway veteran Darren Lee (National Tour The King and I) with music direction by David Sisco (WCT's La Cage aux Folles).

HAIR celebrates the 50th anniversary of its Broadway premiere and the Sixties counterculture in all its barefoot, long-haired, bell-bottomed and fringed glory. To an infectiously energetic rock beat the show features popular anthems like "Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In," "Good Morning, Starshine" and the title anthem. HAIR reminds us of such ideals as peace, love and acceptance - and what it means to be young and believe you can change the world.

HAIR features Kevin Atwater (Claude), John Drinkwater (Berger), Sophia Tzougros (Sheila), Bailey Claffey (Ronny), Sabrina Kalman (Jeanie), Hadly Patterson (Crissy), Tyler Ross (Hud), Remy Barson (Margaret Mead), Travis Harley (Dionne) and members of The Tribe - Miranda Abbott, Jamie Baio, Gabrielle Baker, Savannah Beckford, Margot Bergeron, Erin Damers, David Dines, Cassandra Dougherty, Matthew Drinkwater, Kimberly Friedman, Scott Hoke, Dana Kluczyk, Kyra Lee, DeVonte McCray, Anne Elizabeth Miele, Ryan Moroney, Ben Murasso, Cynedra Osinaike, Kristine Palka, Troy Rood, and Garrett Toole.

Wagner College Theatre has previously presented HAIR to popular acclaim in 1981 (directed by Randy Alderson) and 2006 (directed by Rusty Curcio).

The production design team includes Phill Hickox (Scenic Design), Polly Kendrick (Costumes), Vicki Neal (Lighting), Richard Kroth (Sound), Joanna Catalano (Hair and Makeup). Anabel Caba is Production Stage Manager. Rob Gallo (Assistant Director). Brian T. Sharron (Technical Director) and Kaitlyn Bradway (Production Technical Director/Props Master).

Performances of HAIR are Thursday through Saturday at 8pm, with matinees Saturday and Sunday at 2pm.
