Adventure Theatre MTC brings the sights and sounds of Louisiana to Glen Echo Park with its upcoming production Petite Rouge, A Cajun Red Riding Hood from January 30 through March 8. This family-friendly, Zydeco-driven musical was adapted from the book by Mike Artell and Jim Harris by D.C. native Joan Cushing. Petite Rouge is directed and choreographed by ATMTC Producing Artistic Director Michael J. Bobbitt with musical direction by Darius Smith.

The late August Wilson is one of America's greatest playwrights. From the early 1980s up until his death in 2005, Wilson wrote 10 plays, each encompassing African American life in a different decade focusing on the same Pittsburgh neighborhood, with Ma Rainey's Black Bottom being the sole play to occur outside of Pittsburgh. Taking Care of Our Own is a program of theatreWashington, providing assistance to Washington area theatre professionals experiencing unforeseen emergencies.
