Imagine His Girl Friday meets The Carol Burnett Show and you've got SCREWBALL COMEDY, a fast-paced, hilarious nod to the Hollywood comedies of the '30s and '40s playing at The Public Theatre, Lewiston/Auburn's professional theatre, April 29 – May 8th. Filled with zany characters and snappy banter reminiscent of the movies of Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn, this delightful comedy will keep you laughing from start to finish.

There is nary a more unifying social experience than receiving horrid, mind-bogglingly bad service at a restaurant. It cuts across class, background, geography, ideology, upbringing, and every other imaginable social divide. With minimal effort we can all probably recall a recent experience in which we were out to dinner with friends or significant others and had a server who was slow, rude, invasive, negligent, easily distracted, too chatty, or-in the case of Stephen (Danny Vaccaro), the waiter in Wendy MacLeod's 'Slow Food', currently on stage at Geva Theatre-all of the above. And while it might trigger flashbacks of dining horror and peak hangry-ness, it makes for a truly entertaining stage comedy.

Bristol Riverside Theatre follows up its season opener, An Act of God, with Kim Wayans and continues its 33rd Season with Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey's Broadway hit, Next To Normal. This Tony and Pulitzer winning musical drama about a family coming apart at its center runs October 29 to November 24, 2019. Opening Night is Thursday, October 31 at 7:30pm. BRT's Artistic Director Keith Baker directs this rock musical that features NYC-based actress Donna Vivino in the role of Diana.. All performances are at Bristol Riverside Theatre in Bucks County, located at 120 Radcliffe Street. Bristol Riverside Theatre's Summer Music Fest celebrates the 50th anniversary of Woodstock with Woodstock at 50: A Celebration running July 18-28. BRT revisits this pivotal moment in music history with songs such as "Piece of My Heart", "With A Little Help From My Friends", and "Evil Ways". Led by Keith Baker and the BRT Concert Band, the program features BRT favorites Demetria Joyce Bailey, Laura Giknis, Danny Vaccaro, Tasha Waters and introducing newcomer Paul Binotto.

Bristol Riverside Theatre starts the new year with the American classic On Golden Pond, by Ernest Thompson, running January 22 - February 10.  The humorous and heartwarming play is directed by Bristol Riverside Theatre's founding director Susan D. Atkinson. Previews begin Tuesday, January 22, with opening night set for Thursday, January 24.

The multiple Tony-award winning musical is directed by Keith Baker, music directed by Douglass Lutz, with choreography by Stephen Casey and starring Danny Rutigliano and Michael Doherty and featuring Nicole Benoit, Fred Inkley, Morgan W. Reynolds, Jo Twiss, and Danny Vaccaro. The ensemble features Luke Bradt, Kathryn Brunner, Nicole Calabrese, Zachary J. Chiero, John D. DiFerdinando, Becca Goebel, Louis Jannuzzi III, Lauren Krigel, Patrick Ludt, Niklaus Patrick Miller, James E. Ofalt, Dominick Sannelli, Erika Wasko, and Keith Watford.

The Players are ringing in the New Year with news that they have been recognized for their work during the 2017 Summer Season with 19 finalist nominations for the New Hampshire Theatre Awards! Of their 7 Main Stage productions this past Summer Season, 2 plays were eligible for consideration: The Producers and The Doctor's Dilemma - the 19 finalist nominations are from those 2 productions in a variety of categories.

Bristol Riverside Theatre heads into the new year with Donald Margulies' Pulitzer Prize-winning classic Time Stands Still January 23-February 11. Directed by Susan D. Atkinson, the ensemble cast includes Laura Giknis, Eleanor Handley, Michael Satow, and Danny Vaccaro.

Anything Goes has music and lyrics by Cole Porter, and the original 1934 production ran for over a year. The show is coming to Musicals Tonight!, March 14-26, and the full cast has just been announced.
