The Orange County Performing Arts Center is offering local high school students the opportunity to join its brand-new weeklong musical theater summer camp from June 22 to 26 on the Center's campus. Students will be educated in musical theater technique and repertoire by some of the industry's leading professional artists and educators, including Tony®Award-nominated actress Erin Dilly and Danny Gurwin, Broadway star and faculty member of American Musical & Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles.

Producers have announced the cast for the Los Angeles debut of Dr. Seuss' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS! The Musical, playing at the Pantages Theatre for a limited engagement during the 2009 holiday season, November 10 through January 3. Leading the 24-member cast will be Christopher Lloyd as The Grinch and John Larroquette as Old Max.

ACADEMY has been in school for some time. Much like a kid braving high school, over time, the show's voice has changed; it learned to stand up for itself and it got, well, just smarter. Much of this maturity occurred thanks to the venerable student body that passed through its oak-paneled halls:
Broadway's Danny Gurwin will perform Broadway favorites with a Jewish theme with MIRACLE OF MIRACLES September 10. The performance will take place at Jewish Community Center's Handleman Hall in West Bloomfield, MI.
Danny Gurwin will join Khori Dastoor for two performances of the California Philharmonic's BROADWAY'S BEST concert. On August 22, the Philharmonic will perform at The Arboretum in Arcadia. The company will then perform the concert at Walt Disney Concert Hall on August 23.

On Monday, August 10th at 8pm, Upright Cabaret will present 'The Music of Scott Alan', an evening featuring the work of composer and lyricist, Scott Alan. This one night only concert will mark Alan's Los Angeles debut, and also be the first performance in Upright Cabaret's new venue at 'Upright Cabaret on Vermont' which is currently being renovated on Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles.
