Bobby Cronin is a fast-rising, hard-working ASCAP PLUS Award winning composer/writer who "...thinks big. In all ways. Writing in a contemporary musical theatre vein, the songs are passionate and powerful in a take-no-prisoners way that will knock your socks off." -- Rob Lester, Cabaret Exchange.

Bobby's current project is a contemporary, pop/rock driven new musical called THE BEATEN PATH (previously titled "BRATT Camp"). The original musical with book, music and lyrics by Cronin was produced and well reviewed in June 2009 by Chicago's The Music Theatre Company: "the workshop showing of Bobby Cronin's new rock musical, "B.R.A.T.T. Camp," the creators centered on legitimate teenage crises, with a strong script and worthwhile plot, which, along with some brilliant music and lyrics (all by the ingenious Cronin), resulted in a first draft of a promising future product. He even gives us some songs, which can qualify as traditional American musical theatre style, though still within the rock genre." Due to audience response and support, THE BEATEN PATH received a New York City concert presentation in mid-January produced by Erica Ruff starring WICKED's Julie Reiber and SPELLING BEE's Derrick Trumbly. A workshop will take place this summer.

Bobby has had many sold-out concerts throughout NYC including the Songbook Series at Lincoln Center, Broadway's Minskoff Theatre, Symphony Space, The D-Lounge, The Metropolitan Room,The Duplex, and The Laurie Beechman Theatre, featuring top-notch talent.

Many of Bobby's sought-after songs have been used by theatre companies and solo artists throughout NYC, Chicago, and Seattle stretching as far as Japan and Australia. His debut CD "Reach The Sky: Bobby Cronin Live at The Beechman", produced by Erica Ruff, is available on iTunes and at www.bobbycronin.com, featuring a slew of Broadway performers including Caissie Levy (HAIR), Allison Case (HAIR), Alex Brightman (WICKED), Marcus Paul James (IN THE HEIGHTS), Natalie Weiss (EVERYDAY RAPTURE, WICKED) and many more.

Bobby's music made its BC/EFA debut in December 2007 along with songs by Andrew Lippa and Larry O'Keefe, featuring Tony and Emmy Nominee Lea Michele. Bobby was selected to write a song specifically for Eden Espinosa (WICKED, BROOKLYN) for the 2008 Broadway in South Africa benefit at Symphony Space featuring new songs by Jeff Blumenkrantz, Michael John LaChiusa and more.

Bobby is the conceiver and co-writer of THAT'S ANDY, a new musical about a boy who dreams of playing ANNIE, which is currently a NAMT finalist. He's directed two NYC readings starring Tony Winner Beth Leavel, Burke Moses, Laura Bell Bundy, and Lauren Kennedy. Also, Bobby's well-reviewed musical adaptation of A CHRISTMAS CAROL written with Angelyn Benson, has been seen at five regional theatres as well as a New England mini-tour.

Bobby in-the-works projects include: (UN)LUCKY IN LOVE with collaborator Josh Prince (SHREK); CATY BRIDGEWATER for STEP Theatre Company (which had a presentation at The Alvin Ailey Theatre in early March starring LaQuet Sharnell (MEMPHIS); ‘TIL DEATH DO US PART, a large musical about the mystifying murder of a southern preacher by his mousy wife; and the Untitled "Kate Pazakis" Project.

As the Artistic Director of Ergo Theatre Company he has directed, developed and written several musicals and plays such as his unique "revusical" FROM THIS DAY FORWARD: A SCHWARTZ JOURNEY, arranged by AVENUE Q musical director Mark Hartman with support and guidance from Stephen Schwartz, which uses over 100 Schwartz songs to tell a brand new, plot-driven musical about four twenty-somethings living and loving in NYC. Bobby directed and wrote a new book for the 2000 NYC revival of PERSONALS with musical direction by Charlie Alterman (NEXT TO NORMAL) with the approval of original writers and "Friends" creators Marta Kaufman and David Crane.

Bobby Cronin is a graduate of Yale University where he was awarded the prestigious Michael P. Manzella Award for Excellence in Arts,Scholastics and Character, and is represented by Chris Nichols of Kerin-Goldberg Associates.
