GREASE Opening June 7 At Broadway By The Bay

A wop baba lu mop, ahh wop bam boom! Broadway by the Bay continues their 2019 season with Grease - the beloved rock n' roll celebration of teen angst, fast cars and first loves all set in the fabulous fifties. This all-new production is on stage June 7 to 23 and features the irresistible songs from the Tony Award nominated Broadway show and hit movie, including 'Summer Nights,", "Greased Lightnin'", "Born to Hand Jive", "There are Worse Things I Could Do", and many more. So get out your leather jackets and pull on your bobby socks with Rydell High's senior class of 1959!

Theatr Clwyd today announces full cast for its Christmas pantomime, Dick Whittington - The Purrrrrfect Rock 'N' Roll Panto. Zoe Waterman directs Royce Cronin (King Rhydian the Rat), Toby Falla (Tomos the Cat), Phylip Harries (Sarah the Cook), Daniel Lloyd (Wally Fitzwarren), Alice McKenna (Scratch/Harriet), Peter Mooney (Dick Whittington), Lynwen Haf Roberts (Sultana), Emmy Stonelake (Alice Fitzwarren), Luke Thornton (Sniff/Tom/Guard) and Anna Westlake (Fairy Betty Bowbells). The production opens at Theatr Clwyd on 27 November, with previews from 23 November, and runs until 19 January 2019.

Elton John and Tim Rice's AIDA Opens This at Broadway By The Bay

Broadway by the Bay ends their 2018 season with four-time Tony Award winning Elton John + Tim Rice's AIDA.  In the time of Pharaohs, a beautiful Nubian princess is taken from her land. But when a bond between her and the future ruler of Egypt grows, loyalties are tested, and both must question their true heart's desire. From the Broadway legends that brought you The Lion King, Evita, and Billy Elliot comes this epic tale of love and courage.

Palo Alto Players to Stage TARZAN This September

Palo Alto Players swings into its 2018-19 season with TARZAN, the action-packed musical adventure based on the Disney animated film and classic novel, Tarzan of the Apes.  Written by Tony Award-winning playwright David Henry Hwang (M. Butterly, Chinglish) and featuring a score from Grammy Award-winner Phil Collins, TARZAN is the moving story of the human child, who grows up among the gorillas in the West African rainforest.

Broadway by the Bay Kicks Off Season with THE MUSIC MAN

Broadway by the Bay opens their 2018 season with the Broadway classic, The Music Man. One of American theatre's most enduring musicals, audiences will march along with seventy-six trombones (with a hundred and ten cornets close at hand!), and one fast-talking, smooth-as-silk salesman looking to score big in small-town Iowa. 'Professor' Harold Hill shows up in River City with the hopes of scoring a profitable scam by convincing the townspeople that he can teach their children to play musical instruments.

The Watermill Theatre's musical comedy SOME LIKE IT HOTTER embarks on a national UK tour on Monday 15 May at Eastbourne's Devonshire Park Theatre. Written by Richard Hurford (Pilot Theatre Company/Sheffield Theatres) it imagines a heavenly meeting between three Hollywood legends: Marilyn Monroe, Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis. The production is presented by Fresh Glory Productions (Lilies on the Land, The Awkward Squad).

TRINITY PLAYERS Return To New York For Wales Week 2009

The Trinity Players, 27 talented performers from Trinity College in Carmarthen, Wales, are once again visiting the Big Apple to be part of the city's Wales Week celebrations. The young players will appear in two original productions - the drama Lonesome Valley, and the musical Clymau - for two performances each, February 28-March 2 at the Producer's Club, 358 West 44 Street
