Symphony In C Kicks Off 2023-2024 Season At Rutgers-Camden Center For The Arts

Symphony in C kicks off the 2023-2024 season at Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts on November 4. Music Director Noam Aviel makes her debut conducting Smetana, Tchaikovsky, and Rachmaninoff, featuring pianist Harmony Zhu. Symphony In C Announces 2023-2024 Season

New Jersey-based professional training orchestra Symphony in C today announces its 2023-2024 season following the recent appointment of its new Music Director, Noam Aviel. Aviel began her position in July and makes her debut as Music Director conducting Smetana's Overture from The Bartered Bride, Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2, Op. 18 (soloist TBA), and Tchaikovsky's Symphony 4 during Symphony in C's season opening concert on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 8:00 p.m. All concerts take place at Gordon Theater at the Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts in Camden, New Jersey.

Symphony In C Announces Music Director, Noam Aviel

New Jersey-based professional training orchestra Symphony in C today announced the appointment of its new Music Director, Noam Aviel. Aviel, who recently appeared as a guest conductor with Symphony in C in January 2023, is recognized for her deep understanding of stylistic approaches in a wide range of repertoire from opera to jazz to symphonic music.

Symphony In C to Present Free Concert of PETER AND THE WOLF in June

New Jersey-based professional training orchestra Symphony in C will present Peter and the Wolf, a free outdoor concert for young people on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. (rain date Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 7:00 p.m.) at the Perkins Center for the Arts.

SDSO Announces 2023/24 Concert Season

The South Dakota Symphony Orchestra announced details of the 2023-24 season, also the 20th anniversary of music director Delta David Gier. The new season will feature masterworks of Beethoven, Haydn, and Schubert, as well as Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade, Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, and Copland's Appalachian Spring. 

Symphony In C Presents TOTALLY MOZART On December 3

New Jersey-based professional training orchestra Symphony in C presents Totally Mozart on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 8:00pm at the Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts in Camden, NJ. The all-Mozart program, led by guest conductor Joshua Hong, includes Mozart's Exsultate Jubilate, K. 165, Piano Concerto No. 23 in A Major, K. 488, and Symphony No. 40 in G minor, K. 550.

Marvin Rosen, host of the ASCAP award winning program 'Classical Discoveries' will be presenting his 17th, 24 hour hosted marathon totally devoted to music from the 21st Century. The marathon titled 'Viva 21st Century 50/50 - airs from WPRB, Princeton, NJ at 103.3 FM for local listeners and on line at www.wprb.com. 50/50 refers to the fact that there is an approximate equal representation of men and women composers.

Photo Flash: PSO BRAVO! Presents School Day Concert Full of Surprises

On Tuesday, May 10, at 9:30 am, 11:30 am, and 1:15 pm at Richardson Auditorium, the Princeton Symphony Orchestra's (PSO) BRAVO! education program presented 'The Sky is the Limit!', a concert designed to get the imaginations of over 2,000 area school children soaring with works ranging from Ottorini Respighi's 'The Hen' and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's Flight of the Bumblebee to Daniel Dorff's Blast Off! and Gustav Holst's 'Mars.' Atlanta Opera Announces Family Performances of STONE SOUP

The Atlanta Opera, one of the nation's finest regional opera companies enriching lives through the power of opera, continues its 2012-2013 Studio Tour with four family performances of the children's opera, Stone Soup. The performances, three open to the general public and one designated for Girl Scouts specifically, will take place in venues throughout Metro Atlanta.
