Broadwayworld has recently learned of the passing of actress Dana Dawson. The 36 year old had been battling cancer.

On March 20, the production team and cast of Life After Tomorrow held a discussion, performance and signing at Barnes and Noble. Life After Tomorrow, a documentary about the trials and tribulations of several dozen women who were on Broadway and in the road companies of Annie, was co-directed and co-produced by Gil Cates Jr. and Annie alum Julie Stevens. Stevens created the film after starting the website AnnieOrphans.com

American Musical Theatre of San Jose will sizzle and shake with 'Smokey Joe's Café,' the longest running musical revue in Broadway history. This rollicking show recreates 40 chart-topping hits from the legendary creative team of Jerry Leiber (lyrics) and Mike Stoller (music). Opening April 10 with performances through April 22.
