Nick Blaemire, known for writing the Broadway musical (Glory Days) while also performing in another Broadway musical (Cry-Baby), leads an invitation-only industry reading of TIMEPIECE-a new play by Ben Bartolone. Directed by Markus Potter (Stalking the Bogeyman), the reading will take place today, April 9 at the Manhattan Theater Club. Jason A. Quinn will stage manage the event.

Gingold Theatrical Group, under the leadership of Artistic Director David Staller, will present Shaw New York 2014, the annual Shaw-based festival in New York City, with events throughout December at The Players Club (16 Gramercy Park South) and Symphony Space (2537 Broadway at 95th Street). GTG is the company behind the popular monthly series, PROJECT SHAW.

On Sunday, December 7, The Pearl Theatre Company will present a one night only benefit performance of holiday readings, radio plays, and music hosted by WNYC's Leonard Lopate at the theatre company's home on 42nd Street. The special event will include selections of stories from Charles Dickens, Mark Twain, O. Henry, and many more performed by Members of The Pearl's Resident Acting Company including Dominic Cuskern, Jolly Abraham, Dan Daily (currently starring in Major Barbara), Chris Mixon, Carol Schultz and Brad Heberlee. Performing alongside Mr. Lopate and the Company will be the musical duo of Gelber & Manning, providing early jazz standards from Old New York.

The Pearl Theatre Company and Gingold Theatre Group is currently presenting Shaw's Major Barbara, running through December 14, 2014. When the charming weapons-manufacturer Andrew Undershaft goes toe-to-toe with his passionate daughter Barbara, a Major in the Salvation Army, over his 'ill-gotten' fortune, it leads to the wager of the century. She is determined to save his soul-he is determined to open her eyes to a wider world. Their confrontation will knock their entire family's moral compass up, down, and sideways, never to be the same again.

The Pearl Theatre Company kicks off its 30th anniversary season-the second season in its new home on West 42nd Street-with the first New York revival in 15 years of George Bernard Shaw's You Never Can Tell in a co-production with the Gingold Theatrical Group that is directed by David Staller. Running September 3-October 13, the show's sumptuous costumes, elegant settings and Shavian wit will raise a champagne toast to a year of celebration at The Pearl, where Shaw, following Shakespeare, has been the second most produced playwright in The Pearl's history. The production is also the centerpiece of the Shaw New York 2013 festival.
