Last month, BroadwayWorld was privileged to present not one, but two exceptional entertainment experiences to continue the year-long celebration of our 10th anniversary begun with the simply spectacular BROADWAYWORLD.COM VISITS OZ in January, first with the 2013 BroadwayWorld Cabaret Awards on Sunday, February 23, and next with FLY: A TRIBUTE TO DAMON INTRABARTOLO on Monday, February 24. New Vision Players' 'BARE: A POP OPERA' will play at the Fair Lawn Community Center in Fair Lawn, New Jersey and will be running from March 20th to March 23rd with five performances.

Still emotionally resonant more than a decade later, BARE - THE MUSICAL---the angst-fueled, hyper-melodramatic 'pop opera' written by Jon Hartmere Jr. and the late Damon Intrabartolo---continues its Orange County, California premiere performances at Theatre Out---the OC's Gay and Lesbian theatre company---through February 15 at its new home in the heart of Santa Ana's Artists' Village.

Just last night, BroadwayWorld kicked off our 10th Anniversary concert series with not one, but two triumphant performances of BROADWAYWORLD.COM VISITS OZ at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater. The cast not only donated their time and talent to this amazing double-header event, but also took the time to sign posters for sale to raise additional funds for Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS. As rehearsals and plans are in full swing, for Monday night's sold out performances at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater of BROADWAYWORLD.COM VISITS OZ, Robert Diamond and BWW staffers want to do some 'shout outs'.

The Drama Desk and Obie Award-winning Keen Company today announced the Keen Teens, the educational theatre partnership between Off-Broadway's Keen Company and the theatrical publishing company Samuel French, has selected the writers for the program's eighth season: Kristoffer Diaz, Halley Feiffer, and Kenny Finkle, who have been commissioned to write thirty-minute, large cast plays, which will be produced with student actors Off-Broadway.

Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center will present 'bare: a pop opera,' a contemporary rock musical by Damon Intrabartolo and Jon Hartmere, Jr. featuring a pulsating rock score and emotionally charged story. A contemporary musical event in the vein of Spring Awakening and RENT, bare: a pop opera tells the incredibly touching story of a group of young friends at a Catholic boarding school struggling to discover who they are as they walk the tightrope between adolescence and adulthood. Provocative, tender, and extremely moving, bare is a story of love, friendship, secrets, self-acceptance and the consequences that result from their decisions. With music by Damon Intrabartolo, book and lyrics by Jon Hartmere, SVCAC's production of bare: a pop opera will be the Ventura County debut of this incredibly moving theatrical event. Due to subject matter, this production is recommended for audiences over 14. Provocative, raw, and unyielding, 'bare' examines the consequences of baring a soul or hiding it from those who matter most.

Theatre Out---Orange County's Gay and Lesbian Theatre Company---is pleased to announce the Orange County premiere of BARE: THE MUSICAL, opening January 10 at their new theatre space in Santa Ana. The celebrated 'pop opera' that debuted in 2000 in Los Angeles features music by Damon Intrabartolo, lyrics by Jon Hartmere Jr., and a book by Intrabartolo and Hartmere.

The Flea Theater announces a one night only performance of TRANSATLANTICA by Kenny Finkle, directed by Tim Cummings and featuring original Bat Company Members reprising their roles: Tim Cummings (The Normal Heart, The Fountain Theatre in LA), Greg Keller (NYTW's Belleville, Wit with Cynthia Nixon), Jennifer McKenna, Alfredo Narcisso (The Motherf***er with the Hat), Jack O'Neill (Baal), Beth Tapper and Irene Walsh.

The cult rock musical BARE will transfer to Greenwich Theatre for a limited run from tonight 9 to Saturday 27 October 2013 (press night Friday 11 October) following its sold-out European Premiere at the Union Theatre. Full listings below, tickets on sale now.
