Soho Rep. is presenting eight works created by artists comprising Project Number One, the organization’s 2020 initiative bringing theater-makers onto the Soho Rep. staff in a moment of extreme precarity for the artistic community.

As the industry and theater artists grapple with equity and the many issues facing the field, the 2021-2024 Core Writers Mathilde Dratwa, L M Feldman, Franky D. Gonzalez, Yilong Liu, TyLie Shider, Deborah Yarchun, and Nathan Yungerberg will be given the space and support to create over the next three years.

Dallas Theater Center announces the production and creative team members for its Public Works Dallas film, A Little Less Lonely, featuring the artistry of sixty community members. The film will be available for free on August 10th through the DTC website.

Dallas Summer Musicals has announced the production team for the 10th Annual DSM High School Musical Theatre Awards (HSMTA) will feature Joel Ferrell as Director/Choreographer, Cherish Love Robinson as Music Director, and Eric Lee Tysinger as Production Supervisor.

SOMETHING GRIM(M) uses a variety of multimedia to tell a Grimm-like fairy tale. It takes the audience on a physical and inner journey to respond to this question: “What are you doing with your power?”

This will be a compilation of songs and monologues about life during the coronavirus pandemic, curated and directed by Regina Taylor and performed by Sammy Rat Rios, Cherish Robinson, Marlene Beltran, Paloma Nance, Casie Luong, Gabrielle Beckford, Marti Etheridge and Associate Artistic Director Christie Vela. Featuring new works by local Dallas artists, this will be a collective effort to evaluate what it means to be human during a global nightmare.

Recorded at Schroeder Hall at the Green Music Center at Sonoma State University in 2019, Sketches of Venasque is a 6-movement set of miniatures for solo piano inspired by Cabaniss's trip to southeastern France with his wife Deborah in 1990.
