Casting has been announced for the Dallas engagement of Disney's The Lion King, which will leap onto the stage at The Music Hall at Fair Park from Wednesday, June 13 through Saturday, July 7.

Nearly two hundred years ago, a small, two-day revolution in Paris (The June Rebellion of 1832) brought together crowds of students and working-class French citizens who could no longer stay silent and were prepared to fight to the deaths over working wages and conditions. And, whether you're familiar with this story or not, there's never been a better time to 'hear the people sing' than in the exuberant revival tour of the Broadway staple, LES MISERABLES, now on stage at The Music Hall at Fair Park.

LES MISERABLES, the thrilling musical phenomenon direct from a celebrated two-and-a-half year Broadway engagement, opened at Dallas Summer Musicals (DSM) on Tuesday, April 24, leaving audiences stunned by the breathtaking performance.

Tony Award® winner Victoria Clark was named the 2018 recipient of the Dallas Summer Musicals (DSM) High School Musical Theatre Awards (HSMTA) Fullinwider Award, honoring her for her impact in the Dallas theater community and beyond.

Due to the success of WAITRESS' "Cast Album Karaoke" on Broadway, following the Friday, April 6 evening performance at the Music Hall at Fair Park, audience members will have a chance to sing on the Music Hall stage. Now's the chance to live your Broadway dream! Interested audience members will be chosen at random for the chance to sing one minute of any song in the show accompanied by the musical director following that evening's performance.

At first glance (or at least throughout the first act), Broadway's hit musical WAITRESS, which opened last week at the Musical Hall at Fair Park, seems to be sugar-coated and overstuffed. With its country-pop tunes and slow-but-sweet pacing, the first course lacks substance, instead offering just enough fluff to spoil your appetite. But, when the second portion is finally served, a meatier musical unfolds full of heart.

Coming to North Texas this spring and summer, the hit Tony Award-nominated musical WAITRESS is looking for four young girls to perform the role of "Lulu" for the duration of the engagements. Presented by Dallas Summer Musicals, the show will appear at the Music Hall at Fair Park March 28-April 8, 2018. From June 19-24, 2018, the show will be at Bass Performance Hall as part of Performing Arts Fort Worth's Broadway at the Bass series.

When THE COLOR PURPLE opened on Broadway in 2005 it was well received, thanks in large part to the support of producing partner Oprah Winfrey, whose performance in the film twenty years earlier earned her an Academy Award nomination. The show left New York on a high note in 2008 and continued to tour through three separate national tours for several years. Flash forward to 2015, and a new interpretation of the Broadway musical has made its way back to the Great White Way. (DSM) and Broadway Across American (BAA) are pleased to announce that the Dallas engagement of the hit Broadway musical ON YOUR FEET! based on the life story of seven-time GRAMMY winning international superstar Gloria Estefan and her husband, 19-time GRAMMY winning producer-musician-entrepreneur Emilio Estefan is on sale now.

Dallas Summer Musicals has announced its 2018-19 season, which confirms that Hello, Dolly! will be embarking on a national tour. The tour had previously been rumored, but this announcement appears to be the first official confirmation that it will occur.

DallasNews.com has reported that the Dallas stop on the national tour of Hamilton has announced it. Dallas Summer Musicals announced that the show will be coming to Music Hall in Fair Park April 2-May 5, 2019.

Queens Theatre (Taryn Sacramone, Executive Director) will present Broadway Valentine, a concert-style revue produced by Stephen DeAngelis exclusively for Queens Theatre, located at 14 United Nations Avenue South in Flushing Meadows Corona Park for two performances only on February 17 at 8pm and February 18 at 3pm.
