Terrence Archie, Dakin Matthews & Danny Mastrogiorgio Join Andy Karl & Margo Seibert in ROCKY on Broadway!

Stage Entertainment USA and Sylvester Stallone have announced additional casting for the upcoming musical, ROCKY. TERRENCE ARCHIE, who originated the role of Apollo Creed in the world premiere Hamburg production, will reprise his role for Broadway; his final performance in Hamburg will be November 24. DAKIN MATTHEWS will play Rocky's trainer, Mickey, and DANNY MASTROGIORGIO will play Adrian's brother, Paulie. They join previously announced cast members ANDY KARL and MARGO SEIBERT as Rocky and Adrian.

Photo Flash: Stars Turn Out for LA Stage Alliance Ovation Awards' Red Carpet & Ceremony

The 24th Annual LA Stage Alliance Ovation Awards, celebrating theatrical excellence and achievement during the 2013 season, were presented on Sunday, November 3 at the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse Thirty-five awards were bestowed upon 13 different Southern California theatre companies. Leading the pack with 12 was Center Theatre Group (seven for The Nether at the Kirk Douglas Theatre; three for Joe Turner's Come and Gone at the Mark Taper Forum; one for The Scottsboro Boys at the Ahmanson Theatre; and one for The Royale at the Kirk Douglas Theatre). CTG was followed by 3-D Theatricals with five awards (four for Parade and one for Shrek the Musical). The Chance Theater and La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts took home three awards each (including Best Season for La Mirada); Circle X Theatre Company, the Fountain Theatre, and the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble tied with two each. On Today October 14 at 7:30pm, Red Bull Theater presents a staged reading of SAMSON AGONISTES by John Milton, featuring Robert Cuccioli, Ron Cephas Jones, Richard Easton, Alfredo Narciso, Dakin Matthews, Roberta Maxwell, Christina Rouner, Robert Stanton and Marc Vietor. The reading will be directed by Michael Sexton.

A.R.T.'s ALL THE WAY, Starring Bryan Cranston, Closes in Cambridge; Looks to Broadway!

A.R.T. at Harvard University's sold-out production of ALL THE WAY, written by Pulitzer-Prize winning playwright Robert Schenkkan and directed by Bill Rauch, stars Bryan Cranston (AMC's 'Breaking Bad') as Lyndon Baines Johnson. The show ends its run today, October 12 in Cambridge. Next, it will open on Broadway, with star Cranston moving with the show this winter. No official dates have been set, so stay tuned for updates.

Second Thought Theatre presents the final production in its ninth season, In a Forest, Dark and Deep by Neil LaBute. Director Regan Adair returns to STT for the first time since 2011's critical hit, Red Light Winter. In a Forest, Dark and Deep will run in previews today, August 9 - 10, 2013. Opening and Press Night is Thursday, August 15 at 7:30pm. The show closes August 31.

Shirley Knight Performs at the Inge Festival This May

The 32nd annual William Inge Theatre Festival takes place May 1-4, and celebrates the Centennial year of the birth of the Pulitzer Prize and Oscar-winning writer. The Inge Festival-the official Theatre Festival of the State of Kansas-takes place in Inge's hometown of Independence, and is sponsored by the William Inge Center for the Arts at Independence Community College.
