Broadway's SOMETHING ROTTEN! Set for Sonnet Slam in Central Park Today

The completely original, hit musical comedy, Something Rotten! sweetens the 6th Annual Shakespeare's Birthday Sonnet Slam this year with a musical performance of 'Hard to be the Bard' by cast member Eric Sciotto (Broadway credits: Annie Get Your Gun, Aida, Sweet Smell of Success, Sweet Charity and 42nd Street among others).

The Acting Company will continue its 2016 John McDonald Salon Series with a reading of Oscar Wilde's beloved comedy An Ideal Husband on Monday, April 18th at 7 PM at the Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater at the West Side YMCA, 10 W. 64th Street, New York, NY. Single tickets are $35 and include a post-show reception with the cast. The performance is sold out. WAITRESS Cast Album Will Arrive on June 10; Cast Hits the Recording Studio in May!

In the lead-up to the April 24th Broadway opening of Waitress at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, DMI Soundtracks is proud to announce the release of a forthcoming original cast album for the production, with the cast and band hitting the studio in early May.  The album will be distributed by Warner-Elektra-Atlantic Corporation.

Audiences at tonight's preview of WAITRESS got to see a very special performance when part of the set for the diner stopped working. While the show was paused so that the crew could make the necessary adjustments - the show's Grammy nominated composer/lyricist Sara Bareilles got on stage to sing a cut song from the show as well as 'Part of Your World' - a Disney classic by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman.

6th Annual Shakespeare's Birthday Sonnet Slam Set for 4/22 in Central Park

The 6th Annual Shakespeare's Birthday Sonnet Slam will be held on Friday, April 22nd from 1-4pm at the Naumburg Bandshell in Central Park. Free for the public to attend, the Sonnet Slam features 154 readers of all ages performing all 154 of Shakespeare's Sonnets in numerical order.

Box Office for Broadway's WAITRESS to Open Next Week at Brooks Atkinson Theatre

Pie and hot coffee in cold midwinter will be on order this Monday February 15 at 10 AM when the box office opens for the eagerly anticipated musical Waitress! Costumed waitresses will serve the first 100 ticket buyers a homemade pie created by Production Pie Consultant Stacy Donnelly at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street).
