Porter Contemporary presents Into the Void, an exhibition of new works by Anne Marchand, Judith Mullen, Roy Wiemann, and Tom Wilson opening with an artist reception tonight, January 9, 2013 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM.

Pam Tanowitz Dance to Make Joyce Theater Debut, 2/4-6

Pam Tanowitz Dance makes its long awaited Joyce Theater debut from February 4 - 6. Presented by The Joyce Theater Foundation, this engagement will include a program of two new works by Tanowitz, a choreographer known for creating work that juxtaposes ballet with classic modern dance. The pieces, both world premieres, will feature live accompaniment.

Theatre @ Boston Court to Present SE LLAMA CRISTINA, 1/16-2/23

The Theatre @ Boston Court presents Se Llama Cristina, by Octavio Solis, directed by Robert Castro. This production is the final stop on the National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere, which included productions at The Magic Theater in San Francisco and Kitchen Dog in Dallas. Opening night is Saturday, January 25, 2014 on the Main Stage at Boston Court Performing Arts Center, 70 North Mentor Avenue.

Huntington Extends BECOMING CUBA & SMART PEOPLE

Due to extraordinary early demand for the final two productions of its 2013-2014 Season, Huntington Theatre Company announces one-week extensions to the runs of Melinda Lopez's Becoming Cuba and Lydia R. Juilliard Dance Announces 2013-2014 Season

Juilliard Dance, under the direction of Lawrence Rhodes, opens its 2013-2014 season with New Dances PLUS: Edition 2013, Wednesday, December 11 through Sunday, December 15, 2013 in Juilliard's Peter Jay Sharp Theater and features Juilliard alumna Pina Bausch's Wind von West (Wind from the West) performed by the Senior Class, plus three world premiere commissions created for each of the classes of Juilliard's Dance Division. Next season's innovative choreographers are Juilliard alumnus Takehiro Ueyama (1st Year Dancers); Brian Brooks (2nd Year Dancers); and Juilliard alumnus Darrell Grand Moultrie (3rd Year Dancers).

NAMT Announces 25th Annual Festival of New Musicals, 10/17-18

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) announced on June 28 the nine musicals selected to be part of the 25th Annual Festival of New Musicals on Thursday, October 17 and Friday, October 18 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street).

La Jolla Playhouse is proud to announce its 2013/2014 resident theatre company: Teatro Mascara Magica. BWW Reviews: The Firm's CONCERT 1, SCHUBERT Delights Adelaide Audience

In his short 32 years Schubert composed an enormous amount of music, including over 600 lieder (songs), nine symphonies, including his famous Symphony No. 8 in B minor, the Unfinished Symphony. This concert was performed by soprano Emma Horwood, male alto Matthew Rutty, tenor Martin Penhale, and bass Timothy Marks, accompanied by Jamie Cock on piano, who also played two solo works during the evening.

JOSEFINA LOPEZ, the award-winning playwright and screenwriter, best known as the creator of the play and the film, "Real Women Have Curves," will deliver the Commencement Address at Los Angeles High School for the Arts' (LACHSA's) 2013 Graduation Ceremony at Walt Disney Concert Hall, 111 South Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90012 on Friday, June 7, 2013, starting at2:00 p.m., it was announced today by LACHSA Principal George Simpson. The graduation will feature many LACHSA performing arts groups and is open to the general public to attend.
