LAByrinth Theater Company, the award-winning, downtown ensemble presents the World Premiere production of Radiance, written by Cusi Cram and directed by Suzanne Agins. The complete cast includes Kelly AuCoin (Julius Caesar, Julie & Julia) and Ana Reeder (Top Girls, Sight Unseen), as well as Labyrinth Company Members Kohl Sudduth (The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, Take Me Out) and Aaron Roman Weiner (Thinner Than Water, The Glass Menagerie). Poet/performance artist Davida Singer mixes it up with jazz/klezmer artists Frank London (trumpet) and Daniel Kelly (keyboard) to perform excerpts from her new collection Port of Call (Plain View Press, 2012). Written with a strong feminist voice, the book follows the journey of a woman at the turn of the 3rd millennium, where personal experiences morph into a lyrical meditation on space and time, and where loss, rebirth, and unsettled relationships mirror global shifts. The event will take place at Bluestockings Bookstore, located at 172 Allen Street (NYC), tonight, September 21, 7-9 p.m. It will be followed by a book signing. All three plays will be presented at the Bank Street Theater (155 Bank Street), Labyrinth Theater Company's new home in New York City's West Village.

Primary Stages Einhorn School of Performing Arts (ESPA), the company's professional training school, has announced its Fall 2012 schedule of classes now open for enrollment. ESPA will offer new classes including Comedy Writing, Advanced Libretto and Lyric Writing and Dialects 2: Russian. ESPA will also be offering two new workshops: Writing for TV: Making the Transition from Stage to Screen and The Pilot. Additionally, Tanya Barfield, whose show The Call is part of Primary Stages mainstage 2012-2013 season, will be teaching a special workshop, Finding Your First Draft.

Rising Phoenix Rep (Daniel Talbott, Artistic Director) will host an event to launch the newly published CINO NIGHTS: Plays from Rising Phoenix Rep, edited by Daniel Talbott and Addie Johnson and with a foreword by Todd London, on Thursday, June 28th at 6:00 p.m. at The Drama Book Shop

Following the sold out performances and overflow crowds for its first year and a half of Cino Nights presentations (including new plays by Gary Sunshine, Mando Alvarado, Courtney Baron, Florencia Lozano, Kristen Palmer, Emily DeVoti, Lucy Thurber, Jessica Dickey, Adam Szymkowicz, Laura Eason, Daniel Reitz, Megan Mostyn-Brown, Dael Orlandersmith, Keith Reddin, Crystal Skillman, Charlotte Miller and Brooke Berman), Rising Phoenix Rep finished the series on June 10th with Radiance by Cusi Cram and on June 17th with Break My Face on Your Hand by Daniel Talbott.
