Voices Inside/Out Names 2016 Playwright in Residence

Voices Inside/Out in its sixth consecutive year, has awarded its one week playwrighting residency to Brooklyn writer Katharine Clark Gray. Katharine will travel to Danville, Kentucky this summer to teach a master class to the inmates at a local prison who participate in Voices Inside. Voices Inside is a year round playwrighting-in-prison organization founded by Robby Henson, filmmaker and Artistic Director of Pioneer Playhouse; Elizabeth Orndorff, playwright; and Curt Tofteland, founder of Shakespeare Behind Bars.
Star-Studded Concert Benefits The Drama Book Shop Tonight at Feinstein's/54 Below

The legendary shop has been much-talked about lately, after Lin-Manuel Miranda (of Hamilton fame) launched an internet campaign to bring sales into the flooded shop. And now, tonight, March 26th, stars of stage and shop employees will gather for a night of stories and songs to celebrate and benefit the legendary Drama Book Shop at Feinstein's/54 Below. The 7pm concert will feature many of the all-star Broadway talent who frequent the shop on a daily basis.

F*It Club, the New York Innovative Award-winning film and theatre company, continues its annual series of short, commissioned world-premiere plays at the IRT Theater as part of their 3B Development Series in Manhattan's West Village with The Spring Fling: Crush, six new short plays by Kevin Artigue (The Forcings), Stephanie Del Rosso (Flee), Catya McMullen (Everything is Probably Going to be Okay), Seth Moore (Seawife), Gregory S. The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute (LSTFI) with The Lee Strasberg Creative Center in collaboration with NYU Tisch School of the Arts' Undergraduate Department of Drama will present two new works by playwrights, Crystal Skillman and Steve DiUbaldo, this year's recipients of The Clifford Odets Ensemble Play Commission, today, December 3, through December 5 and December 10-12 at the Marilyn Monroe Theatre in New York City.
