An evil elf who has his own plans and a new, high-speed sleigh in Beta testing that runs on starlight, a sustainable version of the old-fashioned sleigh through the ages.

After two pandemic years, Bread & Puppet Theater returns to New York's Theater for the New City to present two urgently-needed political puppet shows. Theater for the New City has presented its Village Halloween Costume Ball annually since 1976. With safety paramount this year, the fete will take place October 31 as an open-air celebration outside the theater, on East Tenth Street between First and Second Avenues.  A large tent will provide rain protection. 

Longtime Downtown Theater Director George Ferencz Passes Away at 74

Stage Director George Ferencz (1947-2021), passed away on September 14 following a long illness according to his wife of 35 years, Sally Lesser. For over a half century, Ferencz was a beloved fixture of New York’s Off- and Off-Off-Broadway theatre scenes.
