Rattlestick Playwrights Theater Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced that Karen Allen will star in the American premiere of Jon Fosse's A Summer Day, translated and directed by Sarah Cameron Sunde, which begins performances Wednesday, October 10 and opens Thursday, October 25 at the Cherry Lane Theatre.

Grace, the acclaimed American play written by Award-winning writer Craig Wright (Mistakes Were Made, "Six Feet Under") and directed by Dexter Bullard (Tracy Letts' BUG), stars Paul Rudd and Academy Award nominee Michael Shannon, with Kate Arrington and seven-time Emmy Award-winner Ed Asner. The show begins previews at the Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street) on Thursday, September 13th, with an official opening night set for Thursday, October 4, 2012. Craig Wright's Mistakes Were Made is described as 'a furious and funny 90 minutes of theatre.' The comedy, by this prolific writer for theater and TV (Six Feet Under, Brothers and Sisters, Dirty Sexy Money), opened in 2010 at the Off Broadway Barrow Street Theatre featuring Michael Shannon. The first production of the company's 18th season, Through the Yellow Hour will begin performances on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Rattlestick Theater (224 Waverly Place-off Seventh Avenue South, between Perry and West 11th Streets). The cast includes Hani Furstenberg, Brian Mendes, Matt Pilieci, Danielle Slavick, Alok Tewari, Joanne Tucker, and Vladimir Versailles.

Sideways The Play, adapted by Rex Pickett from his own novel, plays in its world premiere by the Ruskin Group Theatre in Los Angeles, tonight, May 18 through July 22, Fridays-Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 2pm. It is the story of two friends - Miles and Jack - and their journey across the Santa Ynez wine country, on one last blowout trip before Jack gets married. Miles and Jack must face their uncertain futures…just as soon as they figure out how to survive their chaotic present.
