The Young People's Chorus of New York City (YPC) partners with Yale Choral Artists for two concerts in New Haven and New York that explore the theme of citizenship-Saturday, June 16 at 2:00 p.m. at the Yale School of Music's Morse Recital Hall and Monday, June 18 at 8:00 p.m. at Merkin Concert Hall, respectively.

The Los Angeles LGBT Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center has announced the world premiere of Hoodwinked, an original play created for the 2018 Hollywood Fringe Festival. Preview performances begin June 2, at 6:30pm with opening set for Saturday, June 9, at 8pm at the LGBT Center's Davidson/Valentini Theatre.

Dances for a Variable Population (DVP) will present three performances of Revival 2 - an outdoor public dance project that re-imagines the works of celebrated 20th century choreographers, taking place at iconic public spaces in New York City and featuring 50 non-professional senior dancers and seven legendary female dance artists.  

In continuation of its year-long 30th anniversary celebration, the Young People's Chorus of New York City® (YPC) makes its debut at the world's largest Gothic cathedral, the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, on Saturday, June 2 at 7:30 p.m.

Bringing together over 1,000 young choristers, the Young People's Chorus of New York City (YPC) presents its 15th annual, year-end concert for the citywide YPC School Choruses program at The World Famous Apollo Theater (253 West 125th Street) on Thursday, May 17, at 10:45 a.m. The program is directed year-round by YPC Associate Artistic Director Elizabeth Nuñez, and the upcoming concert showcases the musical growth of its participants-New York City elementary- and middle-school children-over the course of the school year, during which YPC-trained music educators teach them how to read and write music, sing with healthy vocal technique, and perform as a group.

New York Live Arts presents the world premiere of Bessie Award winner Joanna Kotze's What will we be like when we get there, a new interdisciplinary dance performance with long-time collaborators dancer/choreographer Netta Yerushalmy, visual artist Jonathan Allen, and composer/musician Ryan Seaton. What will we be like when we get there will premiere at New York Live Arts March 28-31, 2018, 7:30 PM. Irish Arts Center (IAC) has reached a critical milestone in its plans to build a new permanent home in New York for the evolving arts and culture of contemporary Ireland and Irish America. In the City on the eve of St. Patrick's Day, Ireland's Prime Minister, Leo Varadkar, today announced $2.5 million in support for the New Irish Arts Center, bringing Irish government funding for the facility to $8.3 million and the Center's Almost Home capital campaign over the $60 million mark (to $60.5 million). The New Irish Arts Center comprises two buildings: a state-of-the-art new facility that will be constructed at 726 11th Avenue, and a renovation of the Center's intimate current home, adjoining the new building, at 553 West 51st Street. Phase I of construction, the new building on 11th Avenue, is now completely funded and ready to begin. IAC continues to raise an additional $15 million for the second phase of the project—transformation of the 51st Street venue—and to create a long-term programming fund and endowment, securing the future of the organization. 

New York Live Arts 2018 Live Ideas Gala, co-chaired by Slobodan Randjelovi? and Jon Stryker and Ruth and Stephen Hendel and hosted by award-winning performer and playwright Anna Deavere Smith, pays tribute to Live Arts' annual Live Ideas Festival. Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts announces a new partnership with Weeksville Heritage Center (WHC) to co-present their annual National Grid Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 21, 2018. This interactive family event will take place on the beautiful 1.5-acre interpretive landscape of the nationally landmarked, environmentally 'green' Weeksville Heritage Center campus in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. The National Grid Earth Day Celebration is free and open to the public, with no tickets or reservations required.

On Sunday, at its annual Symposium for the dance field, Dance/NYC announced the launch of a new initiative to extend the role of dance artistry in fostering the inclusion, integration, and human rights of the more than 3 million immigrants in the New York City metropolitan area, while shaping urgent public discussion about changing demographics and immigrant affairs. As part of this initiative, Dance/NYC unveils foundational research, New York City's Foreign-Born Dance Workforce Demographics (Dance.NYC/ForeignBornWorkforce2018) as well as online information resources available on the Dance/NYC website; and announces a free, day-long convening on September 21, 2018, presented with the New York City Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs (MOIA) and the Queens Theatre.
