Linda Shelton, Executive Director of The Joyce Theater Foundation, Inc., announced today the opening of a new dance studio for The Joyce's exclusive use at 280 Broadway.

The New 42nd Street will honor J.K. Rowling in absentia with the New Victory Arts Award and host a benefit performance of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at The Lyric Theatre for its annual gala on Saturday, May 12, 2018. The event, which includes a strolling supper at The New Victory Theater, will provide critical support to the nonprofit's award-winning arts education and youth employment programs.

Tulsa Ballet, under the artistic direction of Marcello Angelini, will return to The Joyce Theater with a program of works created specifically for the company, including Glass Figures, a world premiere by Resident Choreographer Ma Cong, from March 6-10. Last night, The Public Theater celebrated the 50th Anniversary of HAIR, the American tribal love-rock musical that originally opened at The Public Theater at 425 Lafayette Street.
