Storm Theatre Company' toGIGI to Open in January

The Storm Theatre Company has announced that they will kick off 2015 with a production of the play GIGI by Anita Loos adapted from the novella by Anita Loos. This will mark the first major revival of the show which opened in 1951 and which launched the career of Audrey Hepburn.

The Queens Players' and Secret Theatre's Richard Mazda [Edward II, MacBeth, Othello, Knight of the Burning Pestle, Dr Faustus], once again brings a unique style and concept to a beloved Shakespeare piece, MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING with a fantastically talented team of designers; Beth Williams, Helen Ammon, Casey Rowe and John Michael Creenan helping to create a unique Trash Period world who with an extremely talented cast will bring the funny in William Shakespeare's beloved comedy. Our Benedict is noted Actor/Director/Teacher, Alberto Bonilla* who collaborated with the director and hosted Clown workshops for the cast. Although there are no red noses, the deep insights that clown elements bring to the show are self evident.

The REP Presents Lost Boy Found in Whole Foods, Closes 10/16

The REP, Point Park University's professional theatre company, presents the Pittsburgh premiere of Lost Boy Found in Whole Foods by Tammy Ryan. The production will close Oct. 16 in the Studio Theater at the Pittsburgh Playhouse; Sheila McKenna directs.

Bill Nunn & Point Park Univ. Reach Out To Schools, Create A Play About Choices

The Bill Nunn Theatre Outreach Project and Point Park University's Conservatory of Performing Arts are partnering for the second year to take theatre into local schools. Nunn is working with a cast of six Conservatory students to develop a play about choices. John Amplas, an associate professor in the Conservatory, is producing the project.
