Review: THE ONION GAME at Irish Classical Theatre

Another wholly dysfunctional family has entered the literary realm in a new play by Bryan Delaney and Buffalo's Irish Classical Theatre gets to show them off in all of their wretchedness. Dublin-born playwright Delaney has been named ICTC's Playwright in Residence and is best known to Buffalo audiences for his plays the The COBBLER and THE SEEDBED. His newest play, THE ONION GAME,  is a wicked black comedy set in rural North County Dublin and the results are mostly satisfying for it's revelatory nature and unexpected twists.

Education Through Music 30th Anniversary Gala Raises $1 Million To Keep Music Alive In Public Schools

Founded in 1991, Education Through Music (ETM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that promotes the use of music in under-resourced schools and schools in disadvantaged areas, as a means of enhancing students' academic performance and general development. ETM celebrated its 30th Annual Benefit Gala on Monday, June 13, 2022 at Cipriani 42nd Street. The gala included over 400 people and raised over $1M.

Peninsula International Dance Festival Set For Next Month

In celebration of Peninsula Ballet Theatre's 55th anniversary season, the company today announced the launch of a significant new dance initiative, the Peninsula International Dance Festival (PIDF), scheduled for two performances Saturday, July 16 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, July 17 at 2 p.m. at the San Mateo Performing Arts Center, 600 North Delaware Street.
