Christmas tradition in Cork is now firmly established with a visit to the Cork Youth Orchestra's annual Christmas Concert during the run up to Christmas. Following on from the enormous success of the 'Night at the Proms' Concert in Cork's City Hall last May, Cork Youth Orchestra, conducted by Tomás McCarthy are delighted to present Cork's Christmas Proms Concert on 12th Dec 2015 in the City Hall.

A brand-new promo for Broadway's LES MISERABLES just hit YouTube (watch it below!), and it looks like Alfie Boe isn't long for the part of 'Jean Valjean'. The video announces the actor's departure date as February 28th, 2016. No word yet on who will replace him in the lead role, but BWW will keep our ears to the ground!

It's been 30 years since Claude-Michel Schönberg &Alain Boublil's phenomenon of a musical opened in London. LES MISERABLES originally opened in London at the Barbican Theatre on October 8, 1985. It transferred to the Palace Theatre on 4 December 1985 where it ran for 19 years before moving to its current home at the Queen's Theatre on 3 April 2004 where it has already played for 11 years and looks set to at least equal the run at the Palace Theatre as it is still playing to standing room only. When Les Miserables celebrated its 21st London birthday on 8 October 2006, it became the World's Longest Running Musical, surpassing the record previously held by Cats in London's West End.
