Weaver was last seen on Broadway in the Tony-winning play VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE. Before that, she starred in SEX AND LONGING, HURLYBURLY (which earned her a Tony nod in 1985) and THE CONSTANT WIFE. She made her film debut in ANNIE HALL and quickly rose to fame for her portrayal of Ellen Ripley in the ALIEN movies, which earned her an Oscar nomination. Among her other big screen credits are GHOSTBUSTERS, GORILLAS IN THE MIST, WORKING GIRL, THE ICE STORM, DEATH AND THE MAIDEN, GALAXY QUEST, THE VILLAGE, WALL-E, AVATAR, THE CABIN IN THE WOODS, and more.
