Paula Vogel's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama of How I Learned to Drive is currently playing at Syracuse Stage in co-production with the Cleveland Play House. Astutely directed by Cleveland Play House Artistic Director Laura Kepley, this edgy, intermission-less 90-minute production is captivating, deeply thought-provoking, and controversial, and showcases the tremendous talents of the cast.

Come along for the ride as Syracuse Stage presents Paula Vogel's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama How I Learned to Drive.This deeply compassionate play looking into how one woman's courage to face a troubled time in her past leads her to take control of her own life opens April 7 in the Archbold Theatre at the Syracuse Stage/SU Drama Complex, 820 E. Genesee St. There will be two preview performances on Wednesday, April 5, and Thursday, April 6.

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival will present the world premiere of Hannah and the Dread Gazebo by Jiehae Park, directed by Chay Yew, on April 2 in the Thomas Theatre. Preview performances are March 29, 31 and April 1.

Frank Baum's book by The House Theatre Company Member Phillip Klapperich and directed and choreographed by The House Theatre Company Member Tommy Rapley, playing at the Chopin Upstairs Theatre, 1543 W. Division St., March 17 - May 7. Opening/press night is Monday, March 27 at 7 p.m. The performance schedule is Thursdays - Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday matinees at 3 p.m. and Sunday evenings at 7 p.m. Preview tickets (evenings March 17 - March 26, no performance March 25) are $15 and regular run tickets range from $25 - $45. Writers Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma, announces an additional week of performances of the World Premiere of The Hunter and The Bear, written by PigPen Theatre Co. and directed by Stuart Carden and PigPen Theatre Co. The production now runs through January 29, 2017 in the Alexandra C. and John D. Nichols Theatre at 325 Tudor Court, Glencoe.

Erika Sheffer's witty and laugh-out-loud funny new play THE FUNDAMENTALS paints a bleak portrait of corporate culture within the New York location of a fictitious major hotel chain. Sheffer sets the tongue-in-cheek tone from the initial moments of the play, which opens with an overly polished film emphasizing the staff's important role in optimizing the guest experience. This hilarious, dry wit also extends to the natural and biting dialogue.
