Westport Country Playhouse's Family Festivities Series will present the classic musical, "The Wizard of Oz," on Sunday, March 24. The show is produced by Vital Theatre Company.

Producer John Lant, Write Act Repertory and Tamra Pica have announced that FRANKENSTEIN, playing Off-Broadway at St. Luke's Theatre on Mondays at 7 PM, has added another Friday matinee at 11 AM; on Feb. 15, March 22 and now April 12, to accommodate school trips; It is an open run, with tickets now on sale through April. Group/student discounts are available.

This year, New Year's Eve is on a Monday when most Broadway and Off-Broadway theaters are 'dark'. While the plot of Frankenstein is definitely dark, St. Luke's Theatre will not be! FRANKENSTEIN, the Off-Broadway musical plays at St. Luke's Theatre on Mondays at 7 PM, and New Year's Eve is no exception. Based on Mary Shelley's novel, with book, music and lyrics by Eric B. Sirota, FRANKENSTEIN is directed by Clint Hromsco and produced by John Lant, Write Act Repertory and Tamra Pica.

Westport Country Playhouse announces its 2019 Family Festivities Series on selected Sundays from January through April, featuring musical productions based on classic and contemporary children's stories.  The four-show series includes musical versions of the classic, "The Wizard of Oz," and the bestselling book, "Angelina Ballerina."  Performances are at 1 and 4 p.m., and are approximately one-hour in length. Tickets, at $20 each, are now on sale.

The musical adaptation is directed by Teresa K. Pond based on the original direction of Suzu McConnell-Wood.
