Anita Gillette, Julie Halston & More to Join Nick Offerman in A CONFEDERACY OF DUNCES in Boston

The Huntington Theatre Company presents the world premiere production of A Confederacy of Dunces, adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher from the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by John Kennedy Toole, directed by David Esbjornson (Guess Who's Coming to Dinner and All My Sons) and featuring Nick Offerman of NBC's 'Parks and Recreation.'  Performances begin November 11, 2015 and will run through December 13, 2015 at the BU Theatre / Avenue of the Arts.

Pendelton and her friends from the performing arts, fashion and media joined forces to celebrate her company's work to bring diverse audiences to the arts, on Broadway and beyond. Happy Birthday, Stark Sands! In 2007, Sands received a nomination for a Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play for his role in the Broadway revival of Journey's End. Additional theater credits include the 2009 musical adaptation of Bonnie & Clyde at the La Jolla Playhouse, The Classic Stage Company's production of The Tempestwhich earned him the Actors' Equity Foundation's St. Clair Bayfield Award, which honors the best performance by an actor in a Shakespearean play in the New York metropolitan area. From June 25 to July 12, 2009, Sands appeared in the Shakespeare in the Park's production of Twelfth Night, featuring Anne Hathaway, Audra McDonald and Raul Esparza. Sands played the role of Tunny in the Broadway production of American Idiot. Most recently, Sand received a Tony nomination for playing Charlie Price, in the musical Kinky Boots, which opened on Broadway at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on April 4, 2013.

Hook & Eye Theater to Present GOD IS A VERB, 11/4-21

Hook & Eye Theater presents the World Premiere of GOD IS A VERB, an absurdist comedy inspired by the mind and myth of architect and designer Buckminster Fuller. The production, directed by Chad Lindsey (The Summoners with Hook & Eye) will run November 4-21 at The Actors Fund Arts Center @ The Schermerhorn (160 Schermerhorn Street between Hoyt and Smith Streets, Brooklyn). Performances will be Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7pm and Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm with matinee performances on November 7, 8, & 15, and an additional performance on Monday, November 16 at 7pm. Tickets ($25) are available atwww.artful.ly/godisaverb. The show will run approximately 100 minutes.

CSC Extends Anne Washburn's IPHIGENIA IN AULIS Translation Into October

Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Managing Director Jeff Griffin, has announced that its production of IPHIGENIA IN AULIS, acclaimed playwright Anne Washburn's (Mr. Burns, a post-electric play) transadaptation of Euripides' final play, directed by Obie Award winner Rachel Chavkin (Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812), will extend through Sunday, October 4 at CSC (136 East 13th Street). IPHIGENIA IN AULIS features original musical by The Bengsons and choreography by Sonya Tayeh. IPHIGENIA IN AULIS is part of CSC's Greek Festival, celebrating classical Greek theater as explored by some of the downtown theatre scene's most exciting artists.

Yale Repertory Theatre opens its 2015-16 season with the world premiere of INDECENT, a new play with music, written by Paula Vogel, created by Paula Vogel and Rebecca Taichman, and directed by Rebecca Taichman, at the University Theatre (222 York Street), October 2-24. Opening Night is Thursday, October 8. The world premiere of INDECENT is a co-production with La Jolla Playhouse, where it will play November 13-December 10.
