The Joyce Theater Foundation presents Brian Brooks Dance

The Joyce Theater Foundation, Inc. (Linda Shelton, Executive Director) is thrilled to present Brian Brooks Dance, under the direction of award-winning choreographer Brian Brooks, from March 14-18. The program for this engagement will feature two works by Brooks including the New York premiere of Prelude. Semifinalists Announced For The 2018 Lotte Lenya Competition

Kim H. Kowalke, President of the Kurt Weill Foundation, has announced the semifinalists for the 2018 annual Lotte Lenya Competition, its twentieth anniversary year. The Foundation received 235 audition videos, from singer/actors ages 19-32, hailing from thirty-one US states and Puerto Rico, and sixteen countries on five continents. From that pool, fourteen men and fourteen women from the US, Canada, Austria, Germany, Israel, Italy, and Slovenia have been selected to perform at the semifinals at the Manhattan School of Music on 8 and 9 March.

Full Cast Announced for SUMMER: THE DONNA SUMMER MUSICAL

Full casting has been announced for SUMMER: The Donna Summer Musical on Broadway and rehearsals begin today, February 12. As previously announced, the three actresses who will play the role of musical icon Donna Summer will be Tony Award winner LaChanze (The Color Purple, Once on This Island) as 'Diva Donna,' Ariana DeBose (A Bronx Tale, Hamilton) as 'Disco Donna' and Storm Lever (Freaky Friday) as 'Duckling Donna.'

When the subject of New York City Center Encores! comes up among musical theatre enthusiasts, the conversation almost invariably steers to what shows they should be presenting in their series of concerts. Although several of their productions, like the mega-hit revival of CHICAGO, have transferred, a night out at Encores! is, to many, most satisfying when they revive shows that, although significant in one way or another, are unlikely to find themselves back on Broadway.

Old Globe Opens Season with World Premiere of HEART OF ROCK AND ROLL

The Old Globe today announced that its 2018-2019 Season will kick off with the world premiere of the new musical Heart of Rock and Roll, inspired by the songs of Huey Lewis and the News, featuring a book by Jonathan Abrams and story by Tyler Mitchell and Jonathan Abrams. It will be directed by Gordon Greenberg with choreography by Lorin Latarro and music supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations by Brian Usifer. Heart of Rock and Roll will bepresented by special arrangement with Tyler Mitchell, W. Leo Kiely, Bill Kiely, Whitney Kiely Moehle, and Tamar Climan. Amas Musical Theatre to Honor Jay Binder, Micki Grant & Leonid Poretsky, MD at Spring Benefit Concert

Sierra Boggess Performs All-New Program With PSO

Award-winning Broadway star Sierra Boggess returns Saturday, February 10 to the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) stage for a single night of show-stopping music from Hollywood and the Broadway stage. John Devlin serves as the evening's conductor and host. Ms. Boggess performs songs from West Side Story, The Little Mermaid, The Wizard of Oz, Pocahontas, The Sound of Music, Phantom of the Opera, and much more! Under the direction of Mr. Devlin, the orchestra plays music from Star Wars and Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl and musical gems from iconic Broadway shows. The concert takes place at 8pm at Richardson Auditorium in Alexander Hall on the campus of Princeton University.
