Just announced this afternoon, Roundabout Theatre Company will welcome Chuck Cooper as 'Pischik,' joining Diane Lane, Tavi Gevinson, John Glover, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Harold Perrineau and Joel Grey in a new production of The Cherry Orchard.

Broadway Unplugged, the critically acclaimed concert with 'Sound Design by God' returns to Town Hall for its record-breaking 14th season on Monday, July 25 at 8 PM. The concert stars Tony Award Winner Chuck Cooper, 2X Tony Nominee Tom Wopat, Olivier Nominee Kyle Scatliffe, 2X Drama Desk Nominee Alix Korey, Drama Desk Nominee Ryan Silverman, downtown diva Molly Pope, and many more award-winning stars. Broadway Unplugged has been featured in The New York Times, Playbill.com, The Huffington Post, The Daily News, and many other publications during the last 14 years, with all the feature pieces and reviews citing the extraordinary excitement the audience experiences at Town Hall when they hear the pure human voice ring out loud and clear -- and beautifully -- in a 1,500 seat theater. 

Adirondack Theatre Festival's (ATF) 22nd summer season continues with its CABARET SERIES featuring the return of THE UNCIVIL WAR in a special concert performance. This special event will feature an updated script and score, with changes made based on reactions of ATF audiences from last summer's performance, complete with multiple new songs and scenes. Performances will be held at the Charles R. Wood Theater (207 Glen Street in downtown Glens Falls) on the mainstage at 7:30pm. It's that time of year, and I can't help but wonder if your CD collection and iPod are Tonys ready. It's just a handful of hours until the 70th annual Tony Awards, and New York City and theatre fans across the world are excitedly buzzing about this year's ceremonies which will be broadcast live on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at 8/7c on CBS. This Broadway season has some exciting contenders in the musical categories, and to get you ready for the big night, I'm recapping the albums you should be listening to (or at least pre-ordering).

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) announces the casting for their production of Peter and the Starcatcher, the play by Rick Elice, based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, with music by Wayne Barker.

Symphony Space will honor philanthropists Ted and Mary Jo Shen at their 2016 Spring Gala on May 9th. Hosted by James Naughton, the evening will feature performances by Victoria Clark, Lilli Cooper, Chuck Cooper, Ricky Ian Gordon, Michael John LaChiusa, Ted Sperling, Katie Thompson and many others. Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director at The Public Theater, will present the award to the Shens.

Over the weekend, stars of stage and shop employees gathered for a night of stories and songs to celebrate and benefit the legendary Drama Book Shop at Feinstein's/54 Below. Check out photos from the night below!

The legendary shop has been much-talked about lately, after Lin-Manuel Miranda (of Hamilton fame) launched an internet campaign to bring sales into the flooded shop. And now, tonight, March 26th, stars of stage and shop employees will gather for a night of stories and songs to celebrate and benefit the legendary Drama Book Shop at Feinstein's/54 Below. The 7pm concert will feature many of the all-star Broadway talent who frequent the shop on a daily basis.

Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City.
