Lifeline Theatre presents The Man Who Was Thursday, adapted by Lifeline Theatre ensemble member Bilal Dardai and directed by Jess Hutchinson. Dardai and Hutchinson return to this 1908 satire after having first mounted it at New Leaf Theatre, where Hutchinson was the Artistic Director, in 2009 (Non-Equity Jeff nomination: New Adaptation) to re-explore this absurdist tale of identity and intrigue for a new decade.

The House Theatre of Chicago launches its 12th Season with a fantasy action-adventure on the high seas. This second installment of the trilogy began last fall with The Iron Stag King and comes from Artistic Director Nathan Allen and collaborator and Company Member Chris Mathews. The Crownless King begins performances August 30, 2013 at The Chopin Theatre (1543 W Division St.) Today, it was announced that Brenda Barrie and Blake Montgomery have joined the cast from the previous installments.

'Cornish Celebrates an Evening of the Arts' Raises More Than $500,000 for Scholarship Support

Following a gala evening that featured performances by Bill Irwin and Cornish students, alumni and faculty, President Nancy J. Uscher is pleased to announce the annual event raised more than $500,000 for the Cornish Scholarship Fund. The total includes $105,000 for the Sherry Raisbeck Endowed Scholarship, an endowment created last year by James Raisbeck in honor of his wife, a Cornish graduate and member of the Board of Trustees. Virginia Anderson, Board Chair, announced a $25,000 gift to the College's endowment in honor of Jane Ewing, former Vice President of Institutional Advancement who retired last spring.

The performance schedule is Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m. Preview performance tickets are $15 with performances Thursday, April 19 and Friday, April 20 at 8 p.m. There is a gala benefit performance, Saturday, April 21 at 7 p.m., $50 tickets include access to post-performance reception.

Hell in a Handbag Productions is proud to remount David Cerda's parody of the classic children's television special 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer', now in it's 12th year! RUDOLPH THE RED-HOSED REINDEER is currently in performances at Mary's Attic and will continue to run until Saturday, January 2nd. All performances begin at 7:30. There will be no shows on Dec. 24th, 25th, and 31st, but additional shows have been added on Dec. 23rd, 27th, and 30th.
