Avis-Marie Barnes, James Beaman & More Set for Orlando Shakespeare Theater's 26th Season

Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF announces partial casting for the seven productions in its 2014-2015 Signature Series. Following an extensive nationwide search, Artistic Director Jim Helsinger has handpicked a talented group of Broadway veterans and local favorites to bring the Theater's 26th Season to life.

Bergen County Players' 2014-15 Season to Include 'DROWSY CHAPERONE,' 'OSAGE COUNTY' & More

Long considered one of America's foremost community theater groups, the Bergen County Players is proud to announce its 2014-15 season, an ambitious, passionate and playful year of audience pleasing musicals, innovative plays and special events for its 82nd consecutive season. From toe-tapping musicals to hilarious comedies to intense dramas, BCP has garnered a reputation for outstanding quality productions at affordable prices. As audiences have been anxiously anticipating, the new season kicks off with The Drowsy Chaperone, the five-time Tony Award winning musical.

THE OUTSIDERS to Receive an Encore Weekend in October

After a successful run on the Delaware City stage along with rave reviews online, the Reedy Point Players plan to reunite as many original cast members as possible to bring THE OUTSIDERS back to life in their special encore production. Erin Miller, returns as the director, along with actors Brandon Dawson, Sean Wagner, Kevin Austra, Matthew Furman, Derek Pinchot, and Dan Davis, who will reprise their roles as the six Greasers.

Young People's Theatre Announces 2014-2015 Season

Artistic Director Allen MacInnis and Executive Director Nancy J. Webster are thrilled to announce the line-up for 2014/15 - the 49thseason at Young People's Theatre. This year, YPT is presenting seven outstanding productions, including a world premiere and a Canadian premiere, each exploring the central theme of fairness.

South Bend Civic Theatre to Present TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, 5/30-6/8

From the pages of the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, Harper Lee's American classic To Kill a Mockingbird performs at South Bend Civic Theatre. The book, based on themes of justice, equality, morality, ethics and compassion, is considered one of the most influential novels and best sellers in recent history. This coming of age story recognizes our childhood innocence and challenges us to keep searching for fairness and decency in a troubled world.

BWW Reviews: TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD Opens at the White Theatre in Overland Park

The Harper Lee classic, dramatized by Christopher Sergel, To Kill A Mockingbird opened Saturday April 5 at the White Theatre in Overland Park, Kan. Darren Sextro directs the White Theatre production that runs through April 13. Mary Badham, the actor who starred as Scout in the 1962 film starring Gregory Peck, was on hand opening weekend and conducted a talk back on Saturday night.

Bergen County Players to Present TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, 3/22-4/12

Bergen County Players continues its 'From Page to Stage' season with Christopher Sergel's adaptation of Harper Lee's Pulitzer Prize-winning landmark American classic 'To Kill a Mockingbird' beginning Saturday, March 22nd and concluding Saturday, April 12th. This timeless tale of innocence and tolerance follows the journey of a young white girl whose father has been appointed to defend a black man framed for a crime he claims he did not commit. Performed at the Little Firehouse Theatre in Oradell, the drama provides a poignant look at justice and the human spirit, as told through the eyes of a young girl learning the mysteries and realities of adulthood. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 pm ($20) and Sundays at 2:00 pm ($16). 'To Kill a Mockingbird' contains strong racial language.

Surfside Players announces its production of an American classic: TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, based on the novel by Harper Lee, dramatized by Christopher Sergel and directed by Andrew Villain. The show will run tonight, February 28 - March 16, 2014.

Fox Valley Rep to Present CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN, 3/27-5/18

Fox Valley Repertory continues their 2014 theater series with one of the best-loved American memoirs recounted from the book by siblings Frank Gilbreth and Ernestine Gilbreth Carey called Cheaper by the Dozen. This coming-of-age comedy, adapted by Christopher Sergel, will include nearly a dozen professional actors as well as another dozen youth actors making their professional debut. Directed by Vance Smith, performances will take place at the Pheasant Run Resort Mainstage March 27 - May 18, 2014 (4051 E. Main St., St. Charles, IL; box office 630-584-6342).
