WARP SPEED: the SciFi Parody Musical previously titled Where No Man Has Gone Before: The Unauthorized Star Trek Parody Musical, which will debut at the Midtown International Theatre Festival's Commercial Division, has announced it's intention to move Off-Broadway following the festival.
Benjamin Simpson, producer for WARP SPEED: a SciFi Parody Musical, previously titled Where No Man Has Gone Before: The Unauthorized Parody Musical, written by Clara Hoch and Eva Thorpe, announced that the Show has been accepted into the 2014 Midtown International Theatre Festival's Commercial Division. Christopher Noffke will be taking the helm as director. This follows a previous announcement for a Fall 2014 New York debut following a workshop production in Washington, DC, and a one-night concert production at New York's Metropolitan Room. The festival runs from July 14th-August 10th with specific performance dates to be announced shortly. The production is aiming for an Off-Broadway transfer following the festival run. The Secret Theatre will present 22 new short plays over 3 weeks in their LIC One Act Play Festival running April 4-27th. Each week a selection of plays will be presented. Audiences will vote on their favorites and the top 16 will perform April 25 & 26. The top 8 of those will perform on Saturday April 27th where winners in the Playwright/Director/Actor and Actress categories will be announced.

Music Dance Theatre Workshops brings Broadway performers to Indianapolis to give personalized coaching and performance instruction to young actors in the central-Indiana arts community. All teaching artists are originally from the Midwest, most with ties to Indianapolis. These performers, many with Broadway credits, are excited to give back to the community that shaped them into the artists they have become today!
