"The Portrait" will make its world premiere this summer at the Greenhouse Theater Center (2257 N. Lincoln Ave.) as part of the theater's "Solo Celebration!" series, an eight-month series of provocative and powerful solo plays. Written and directed by Susan Padveen, starring Cameron Pfiffner and co-produced with The Neopolitans, "The Portrait" tells the story of Gustav Klimt, the renowned painter of The Kiss, as he wrestles with a life- altering decision while also attempting to secure a sizable commission from a woman of Viennese society. The press performance will be Wednesday, July 20 at 7:30 p.m.

The Gift Theatre Announces Cast of THE GRAPES OF WRATH

?The Gift Theatre, Chicago's most intimate Equity theater, presents John Steinbeck's Pulitzer Prize-winning tale, The Grapes of Wrath, centering on an American family forced off of their land during the Great Depression and their epic journey west to California. New ensemble member Erica Weiss (Vigils) returns to direct the extraordinary and emotionally wrenching The Grapes of Wrath, adapted by Frank Galati.  The Grapes of Wrath opens Thursday, June 23 at The Gift Theatre, 4802 N. Milwaukee Avenue. Press performance is on Monday, June 20 at 7:30pm.

Celebrated actress Jessie Fisher (Chicago Shakespeare Theatre's Othello, Once on Broadway) joins ensemble member Jon Michael Hill (CBS's Elementary, Steppenwolf's Superior Donuts) in the Chicago premiere production of Constellations, the moving two-character drama by Nick Payne, directed by artistic producer Jonathan Berry to take place this summer in the Upstairs Theatre (May 26 - July 3, 2016; Press/Opening is June 1 at 7:30pm).

Steppenwolf Theatre Company has announced the addition of Constellations by Nick Payne to this summer's lineup. Directed by Steppenwolf Artistic Producer Jonathan Berry, the Chicago premiere production features ensemble member Jon Michael Hill as 'Roland' (CBS's Elementary, Steppenwolf's Superior Donuts). Casting for the role of 'Marianne' will be announced at a later date.
