Durang drops a mixed bag of Chekhovian characters in contemporary Bucks County in this comic tour-de-force. Relentlessly silly and smart, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike deservedly won the 2013 Tony Award for Best Play and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Play.

BroadwayWorld has a first look at Pamela's First Musical, a world premiere with a book by Wendy Wasserstein and Christopher Durang, music by Cy Coleman and lyrics by David Zippel, directed and choreographed by Graciela Daniele at Two River Theatre. New York Stage and Film announced today that Artistic Director Johanna Pfaelzer will be stepping down from her longtime leadership position with the organization to become the new Artistic Director of Berkeley Repertory Theatre beginning September 1, 2019.

Two River Theater opens their 20182019 season with the world premiere of 'Pamela's First Musical.' The show will be on the Red Bank stage from 98 to 1017. Broadwayworld.com interviewed Andrea Burns about her career and her role as Mary Ethel Bernadette in the production.

Award-winning Impro Theatre continues its 12th anniversary season with the world premiere of Play UnScripted & Guests, with special guests Gary Anthony Williams from "The Boondocks," Colton Dunn from "Superstore," Jully Lee from "This is Us" and "Jane the Virgin," and more.  Play UnScripted & Guests opens on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 7:30 p.m. and runs through October 27 at Impro Studio in Los Feliz Village.

Fox Stage Productions and Kevin McCollum have announced the creative team for the new Broadway-bound musical MRS. DOUBTFIRE. Four-time Tony Award Winner Jerry Zaks, (most recently represented on Broadway by the hit revival of Hello, Dolly!) will direct, joined by Tony Award Nominees (for Something Rotten!) John O'Farrell and Karey Kirkpatrick (book) and Karey and Wayne Kirkpatrick (music and lyrics).

As BroadwayWorld reported this morning, Tony Award winner Laura Benanti will assume the role of Eliza Doolittle in its award-winning production of Lerner & Loewe's MY FAIR LADY, directed by Bartlett Sher, for a limited engagement beginning Tuesday, October 23 and currently scheduled through Sunday, February 17, at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street).

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop) has announced that Tony Award winner Laura Benanti will assume the role of Eliza Doolittle in its award-winning production of Lerner & Loewe's MY FAIR LADY, directed by Bartlett Sher, for a limited engagement beginning Tuesday, October 23 and currently scheduled through Sunday, February 17, at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street). Lauren Ambrose, who originated the role in this production, will play her final performance on Sunday, October 21st before leaving to begin work on M. Night Shyamalan's upcoming Apple series.

Student-run theatre company, Late Night Theatre, presents It Comes in Threes: An Evening of Quick Comedies to kick off the 2018-2019 Late Night Series. Three short comedic plays written by three different playwrights and led by three different directors, ensures that this production will keep you on your toes and laughing all night.
