Once again Toby's Dinner Theatre presents top flight entertainment for the entire family.

McCarter Theatre Center completes the 2017-2018 Theater Series with Christopher Durang's Turning Off the Morning News. His third world premiere commission for McCarter, Durang's follow-up to Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike (2013 Tony Award for Best Play), is a decidedly dark and daring comedy taking hilarious aim at today's absurd and dangerous world. Directed by McCarter's Artistic Director and Resident Playwright Emily Mann, the play runs May 4 - June 3 in the Berlind Theatre. Press opening is Saturday, May 12 at 8 p.m.

The 5X5 Drama Series was founded in 2016 to bring great new plays beyond the footlights and into nontraditional spaces like breweries, rooftops, and taverns to provide an immersive and unique audience experience. The 90-minute program consists of 5 short plays performed by 5 casts and is performed in all 5 boroughs. Fulfilling one of our core beliefs to make theatre more accessible to all, 5X5 brings the stage directly to the people in the spaces where they gather, learn and relax. Black Button Eyes Productions is pleased to announce its 2018-19 season, kicking off late this summer with the world premiere of NIGHTMARES AND NIGHTCAPS: The Stories of John Collier, a non-musical adaption of British author and screenwriter John Collier's phantasmagoric short stories. Written and directed by Producing Artistic Director Ed Rutherford, the production will feature choreography by Derek Van Barham and star Kevin Webb with additional casting to be announced.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame A sweeping score and powerful story make The Hunchback of Notre Dame a truly unforgettable musical and an instant classic. It plays in the Marian Theatre April 26 - May 13 then June 14 - July 8 in the Solvang Festival Theatre.

Contra Costa Civic Theatre (CCCT) continues its 58th season with Christopher Durang's comic mash-up of the plays of Anton Chekhov, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, directed by Diana Trotter in her CCCT debut.  Winner of the Tony, Drama Desk, and New York Drama Critics awards for Best Play, CCCT's production plays April 13 through May 6.

Previews begin this Friday, March 16 for the Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) world premiere production of THIS FLAT EARTH, a new play by Lindsey Ferrentino (Ugly Lies the Bone, the current Amy and the Orphans).  Directed by Tony Award winner Rebecca Taichman (Familiar, Stage Kiss, Milk Like Sugar at Playwrights; Indecent), the play is the fourth production of the theater company's 2017/2018 Season.

Goodman Theatre revives Having Our Say: The Delany Sisters' First 100 Years, Emily Mann's "warming theatrical event" (Variety)that celebrates the lives of "two strong, vibrant women dispensing joy and wisdom" (Chicago Tribune). Goodman Theatre Resident Director Chuck Smith's production features Ella Joyce and Marie Thomas as the Delany centenarians, Bessie (1891 - 1995) and Sadie (1889 -1999), respectively, as they trace their lives in a heartfelt reflection of their family history and triumphs over prejudices in times of social unrest.

 Laura Benanti is a Tony Award winner for "Gypsy" and star on Broadway in "She Loves Me!", as well as on TV's "Nashville" and frequent guest on "Late Night with Stephen Colbert" as Melania Trump. On Saturday, March 17 she will join the popular concert series Broadway @ the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, with Sirius XM radio star Seth Rudetsky as pianist and host and presented by Mark Cortale.

McCarter Theatre Center's Board of Trustees today announced the appointment of Michael S. Rosenberg as Managing Director. A nationally respected arts leader, Rosenberg will work together with McCarter's Artistic Director/Resident Playwright Emily Mann and Special Programming Director William W. Lockwood in leading Princeton's Tony Award winning arts institution. Rosenberg, currently the Managing Director at La Jolla Playhouse in California, will assume his new role of Managing Director at McCarter Theatre Center this spring.

This seems to be the enduring message in Joshua Harmon's Bad Jews, a sharp, fierce comedy that questions all you know about those you love and what you really choose to believe…when you're chosen. The award-nominated play makes its Austin premiere at City Theatre, directed by Stacey Glazer, and running March 16 - April 8.
