DRAMATIC PUBLISHING COMPANY announced today that August marks the 15th anniversary of the first performance of EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL, the cult sensation to which it holds exclusive representation of North American professional and amateur stage performance rights.

Obsidian Theater ushers in Halloween with the campy, bloody musical, Evil Dead: The Musical. This outrageously, wicked musical runs September 27 - October 27 and will include two late night shows with blood splash zone and an after-show Halloween party.

The Tooting Arts Club production of Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street makes history today as it becomes the longest running production of Sweeney Todd on record. Today's performance marks 558, surpassing the 1979 Original Broadway Production directed by Hal Prince.

The Atlanta Opera closes its 2017-18 mainstage season with Stephen Sondheim's seminal musical, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. This production of Sweeney Todd remains faithful to the original Broadway show, and features an all-star cast, including Michael Mayes in his role debut as Sweeney Todd, and Maria Zifchak as Mrs. Lovett. Timothy Myers will conduct in a company debut, and Albert Sherman, who has directed Sweeney Todd under the mentorship of Harold Prince, will serve as production director.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street will slay audiences at Atlanta Opera next June, starring Tony Award winner Shuler Hensley in his company debut in the title role. Meredith Arwady will sing the role of Mrs. Lovett.

Producers of the Tooting Arts Club production of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, which broke the Barrow Street Theatre sales house record for the week ending December 31st, announced today that Thom Sesma (as Sweeney Todd), Sally Ann Triplett (as Mrs. Lovett), Zachary Noah Piser (as Tobias), Billy Harrigan Tighe (as Anthony) and DeLaney Westfall (as Johanna) will join current cast members Michael James Leslie (as Judge Turpin), John Rapson (as The Beadle) and Stacie Bono (as Pirelli & Beggar Woman) startingTuesday, February 27, 2018. The cast also includes Matt Leisy, Liz Pearce, Danny Rothman and Monet Sabel.
