Photo Coverage: Manhattan Theatre Club Honors Daniel Sullivan at Fall Benefit

Manhattan Theatre Club just presented its Fall Benefitlast night, honoring longtime MTC collaborator, Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan. The evening featured appearances by some of Broadway's biggest names: Danny Burstein (The Snow Geese), Raul Esparza (The Homecoming), Boyd Gaines (The Columnist), Heather MacRae who appeared in the 1968 production of Hair which Sullivan served as assistant director,Frances McDormand (Good People), Cynthia Nixon (Rabbit Hole), friend and colleague Jack O'Brien, Mary-Louise Parker(Proof), and David Hyde Pierce (Accent on Youth). KING OF THE YEES Set for UNC's Process Series Tonight

The Process Series at UNC will feature an engaging new work by an acclaimed playwright in November. Commissioned by the Goodman Theater in Chicago, Lauren Yee's King of the Yees will be performed tonight and tomorrow, November 6 and 7, 2014, at 8:00pm in Studio 6 of Swain Hall at UNC-Chapel Hill. The performance is free and open to the public with a $5 suggested donation.

BWW Reviews: 4000 MILES Rolls into the Cincinnati Playhouse

4000 Miles by Amy Herzog tells a complicated story that involves a young man and his grandmother. Leo arrives at his grandmother's (Vera) New York apartment in the middle of the night after riding across the country on his bicycle. He ultimately stays with her for months and their relationship takes on many levels during this time. Leo is grieving and recovering from the loss of a friend and Vera has to get use to someone else in her apartment after the death of her husband. This production was able to find a balance between emotional and funny, which can be a hard thing when the scene never changes and only has 4 actors.

Stage Adaptation and translation of Henrik Ibsen's play A Doll's House by Ingmar Bergman (Miss Julie, Scenes from a Marriage), English translation by Frederick J. Marker and Lise-Lone Marker, and directed by PRT's Dana Jackson, performances will open tonight, November 10, 2012 through January 27, 2013 with an official press opening on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 8:00p.m. NORA is the second show of Pacific Resident Theatre's 26th season.
