City Theatre & Island City Stage to Present Return of SHORTS GONE WILD 3

City Theatre and Island City Stage are proud to present the return of Shorts Gone Wild 3, South Florida's hottest short play festival that celebrates the LGBT and Progressive communities, from August 6 - September 6 at Empire Stage in Ft. Lauderdale and from September 10 - 13 at the Fillmore in Miami Beach.

Amy and David Sedaris individually are two of America's premier comic geniuses.  Together, as The Talent Family, they are responsible for such witty, clever, and often downright hilarious productions as Stitches, One Woman Shoe, Stump the Host, Incident at Cobbler's Knob and The Book of Liz.

WAITING FOR WAITING FOR GODOT Begins Tonight at the Vanguard

What better way to inaugurate a brand new theatrical space than with a play that masterfully and humorously takes on a theatrical classic. Thinking Cap Theatre moves into the Vanguard tonight, February 19th with Dave Hanson's critically acclaimed Waiting for Waiting for Godot. The production will run through March 1st.

Outre Theatre Company has announced they have selected their cast for the opening show of their inaugural season, Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party. Artistic Director Skye Whitcomb and Managing Director Nori Tecosky are honored to be working with this selection of talent from the South Florida theater community.

New Theatre's (THE NEW) 26th Season kicks off the 'family' theme with the Bard's family history, Henry V, adapted and directed by Ronald Mangravite, running August 26 - September 11, 2011. Shakepeare's triumphant drama tells the story of Henry V, once an unruly, wild and heavy drinking adolescent, who is now King of England and must inspire and lead his soldiers into war against France over land and titles.

Kander & Ebb's 'Flora The Red Menace' At Rising Action Theatre

From Kander and Ebb, the composers of Cabaret, Chicago and New York, New York comes their first seldom seen collaboration; Flora the Red Menace. It starred a young Liza Minelli and earned her her first Tony Award for best actress at the age of 17 in 1965.
