City Theatre & Island City Stage to Present Return of SHORTS GONE WILD 3

City Theatre and Island City Stage are proud to present the return of Shorts Gone Wild 3, South Florida's hottest short play festival that celebrates the LGBT and Progressive communities, from August 6 - September 6 at Empire Stage in Ft. Lauderdale and from September 10 - 13 at the Fillmore in Miami Beach.

Conceived and created by Island City Stage Artistic Director Andy Rogow and City Theatre Producing Artistic Director John Manzelli, Shorts Gone Wild 3takes six actors, eight playwrights, four directors and a design team, and whips them up until they peak into eight short, provocative, funny and thoroughly entertaining plays that are relevant to the LGBT and Progressive communities. Winner of the 2014 Silver Palm Award for Best LGBT Theatre show, ShortsGone Wild is the newest collaboration under City Theatre's SUMMER SHORTS FESTIVAL umbrella that features brand new, never performed plays written by local South Florida playwrights, alongside pieces from nationally recognized playwrights selected through the City Theatre National Award for Short Playwriting competition.

Preview performances of Shorts Gone Wild 3 will be held Thursday, August 6 and Friday, August 7 at Empire Stage, 1140 N. Flagler Drive in Ft. Lauderdale. The official Opening Night ceremony will take place on Saturday, August 8 at 8 p.m. Evening performances will be held Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m., with afternoon matinees on Sunday at 5 p.m. through September 6. Shorts Gone Wild 3 will then continue its run September 10 through 13 at The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater, 1700 Washington Ave, Miami Beach.
