Bang On A Can Premieres Works By George Lewis & Angelica Negron

On Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 7:30pm, Bang on a Can will present the 2018 Bang on a Can People's Commissioning Fund concert, one of the most anticipated and reliable launching pads for composers in New York and beyond, as part of Kaufman Music Center's Ecstatic Music Festival at Merkin Concert Hall (Kaufman Music Center, 129 W. 67th St.).

Bang on a Can to Present Two-Day Tribute to Robert Rauschenberg at MoMA

In conjunction with The Museum of Modern Art's exhibition Robert Rauschenberg: Among Friends (May 21-September 17, 2017), Pulitzer prize-winning composer David Lang and the music collective Bang on a Can will present a pair of concerts on Tuesday, May 23 and Wednesday, May 24 at 7pm at the museum's T1 (Titus 1) Theater (11 W 53rd St.), featuring commentary exploring these artistic exchanges and their legacy for contemporary music.

New York Public Library Discussion with Curator and Artists of 'The Artist's Museum' Now on View at ICA/Boston

On the occasion of the publication of the catalogue accompanying The Artist's Museum, the exhibition currently on view at the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston (ICA), the New York Public Library's An Art Book program presents artists Carol Bove, Anna Craycroft, and Sara VanDerBeek in conversation with Dan Byers, ICA's Mannion Family Senior Curator. The free public program takes place on Wednesday, December 14, in the Library's Celeste Auditorium at Fifth Avenue at 42nd Street, at 6:00 pm.

The Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston to Present THE ARTIST'S MUSEUM

The Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston (ICA) presents The Artist's Museum, an exhibition focused on the creative impulse to collect and connect, featuring work by twelve American and European artists, including a major new commission for the exhibition by Anna Craycroft, as well as by Rosa Barba, Christian Marclay, and Rosemarie Trockel, Carol Bove, Rachel Harrison, Louise Lawler, Mark Leckey, Pierre Leguillon, Goshka Macuga, Xaviera Simmons, and Sara VanDerBeek.

The Roundhouse Presents CURTAIN CALL: LIVE PERFORMANCES Tonight

This August, Bloomberg Summer at the Roundhouse, the annual season dedicated to introducing new audiences to innovative culture, returns for its fifth consecutive year with Curtain Call by internationally renowned artist, architect and designer Ron Arad.  Ron Arad's 360° floor-to-ceiling installation is made up of 5,600 silicon rods suspended and filling the Roundhouse's iconic main space. Alongside the installation the Roundhouse has announced seven unique music events, designed by an eclectic mix of artists to take place as one-off performances in and around the installation.   

MoMA to Present BRUCE CONNER: IT'S ALL TRUE Exhibition

From July 3 to October 2, 2016, The Museum of Modern Art presents BRUCE CONNER: IT'S ALL TRUE, the first monographic museum exhibition in New York of the artist Bruce Conner, the first large survey of his work in 16 years, and the first comprehensive retrospective.
