BWW Review: BroadHollow's MAMMA MIA!

The latest offering from Long Island's BroadHollow Theatre Company is a delightful production of the worldwide blockbuster hit Mamma Mia! kicking off a sure to be dazling Fall/Winter season. Running through October 21st at East Islip's BayWay , this incarnation is excellently directed by Jason P. Allyn. Indeed, this uplifting show, set to the fun music of ABBA, will leave you smiling and humming the score for days.

BWW Review: BroadHollow's SHE LOVES ME

BroadHollow's latest offering, the multi Tony winning musical She Loves Me, boasts a superb ensemble cast that wonderfully delivers this sugary-sweet production with panache. Well, mostly sugary-sweet… there are some tense moments peppered throughout. Running through February 26th at their BayWay Theatre in East Islip (then continuing to their Elmont location), this incarnation is excellently directed by Bobby Kabat.

The Dix Hills Performing Arts Center held a sold out world premiere of Moey's Fairytale Adventure, a 60-minute, fun-filled, immersive children's musical. The new musical is the brainchild of children's performer Melissa Levis, also known as Moey, and authors Leah Lane and Stewart F. Lane, a Tony Award winner. The musical was produced by James Beneduce, Bonnie Comley and Alyssa Renzi, and directed by Broadway veteran Marie Danvers (Phantom of the Opera, The New Moon, A Moment in Time.) Five Towns College is honoring entertainment luminaries for their Contributions to the World of Entertainment by naming four schools, three centers, a theater and a new graduate library after them. The naming dedications are: John Lennon Music & Technology Center, Charles Strouse School of Music, Jule Styne School of Theatre, Maury Yeston School of Education, Stewart F. Lane School of Business, Frank Loesser College Theater, Ervin Drake Popular Music Center, Stanley Cohen College Library, Barbara Siman Dance Center, Richard Hayman Graduate Library and the Nederlander Worldwide Production Center.
