Pillsbury House Theatre presents Non English Speaking Spoken Here: The Late Nite Series on September 12, October 10, and November 14. The September Late Nite kicks it off hard with performances by José James, Kenna Sarge, D'Lo, The St. Paul Soapboxing Slam Team, and DJO. It's going to be a full night of jazzy music, intense dance, new theatre, slammin' poetry, and fresh beats. Food is served at 8pm and performances begin at 9pm.

Lamb's Players Theatre welcomes back multifaceted musician Peter Pupping and his string quartet for Guitar Extravaganza 2009, the newest installation of the Sunday Night at Lamb's series. Known for their versatile and eclectic mix of Latin jazz, bossa nova, flamenco, classical, Spanish and more, the group will perform for the third time at Lamb's Players Theatre on Sunday, August 16 at 7:00pm.

The SF Playhouse has set an enviable standard for theatre production and in the process has attracted the Bay Area's best talent to its stage; this season will continue that trend.
TheatreWorks, the nationally-acclaimed theatre of Silicon Valley, celebrates its 40th Anniversary season and commitment to the creation and development of new works with its New Works Festival ?09, sponsored by Microsoft. The eighth annual Festival commences July 15 with the world premiere production of Tinyard Hill, a rousing new musical by Tommy Newman and 2009 Jonathan Larsen Award-winning composer Mark Allen. This season?s festival, held in Palo Alto at the Lucie Stern Theatre, will feature workshops of new works by artists including Chris Smith, Raquel Bitton, Darrah Cloud , Kim D. PlayGround, San Francisco's incubator for the next generation of playwrights, caps off its 2008-09 season with The Best of PlayGround 13: A Festival of New Writers & New Plays.
