Steppenwolf for Young Adults (SYA) presents This Is Modern Art (based on true events) written by acclaimed playwright and hip-hop artist Idris Goodwin (Blackademics, How We Got On) and 'Louder Than A Bomb' founder Kevin Coval. Directed by Lisa Portes, this world premiere production concludes SYA's 2014/15 season, which explores the theme, 'Create a Movement: The Art of Revolution.' This Is Modern Art (based on true events) runs February 25 - March 14, 2015 in the Downstairs Theatre. The press performance is on Saturday, February 28 at 3pm. Steppenwolf for Young Adults (SYA) is thrilled to announce casting for the second production of its 2014/15 season, the world premiere of This Is Modern Art (based on true events) by acclaimed playwright Idris Goodwin and "Louder Than A Bomb" founder Kevin Coval. Directed by Lisa Portes, the cast of professional actors features Brittani Arlandis Green, Jerry MacKinnon, J. Salome Martinez Jr., Kelly O'Sullivan, Jessie D. Prez and Chris Rickett.

Previews are Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014 at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 17, 2014 at 8 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014 at 2 p.m. Opening Night is Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 at 7 p.m. The performance schedule is Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. There are Saturday 4 p.m. performances February 1, 8, 15 and 22. TimeLine Theatre Company, dedicated to presenting plays inspired by history that connect to today's social and political issues, has finalized casting for three of the four productions of its 2013-14 season, as the company embarks upon its most ambitious season ever with major revivals (A Raisin in the Sun, The Normal Heart and the musical Juno), a new play (The How and the Why), and a pioneering partnership with the Chicago Commercial Collective and Broadway In Chicago to remount a previous hit show (To Master the Art).

The Arc Theatre returns to Ridgeville after three successful years to present its fourth show in residence at 'Shakespeare on the Ridge' in Evanston: 'Twelfth Night.' 'Twelfth Night' will be performed beginning tonight, July 13th, through August 4th, 2013, Saturday and Sunday evenings at 7pm at Ridgeville Park, 908 Seward St in Evanston, IL. Admission is free.
