The event will run day and night, all weekend long at The Cherry Lane Theater's 'Cherry Pit' beginning Friday afternoon, March 26th and concluding Sunday evening, March 28th. Admission is free
Chris Messina to Star in 'Devil'

Broadway's Chris Messina (Salome) has been cast to star in 'Devil' based on a story by M. Night Shyamalan. The film will be directed by John Erick and Drew Dowdle with a script by Brian Nelson. Filming will begin in Toronto in late October.

Julie & Julia is the new comedy-drama, written and directed by Nora Ephron, depicting events in the life of famed chef Julia Child. Ephron's screenplay is adapted from two books: My Life in France, Child's autobiography, written with Alex Prud'homme, and a memoir by Julie Powell. The film had a New York City premiere on Wednesday, July 30th, 2009 at the Ziegfeld Theatre. BroadwayWorld.com cameras were there as the stars arrived!

The masterful work of Gilbert and Sullivan returns to the Huntington Theatre Company stage for the conclusion of its 2008-2009 Season. Pirates! (or, Gilbert and Sullivan Plunder'd) transports the action of The Pirates of Penzance, the classic operetta about a Pirate King and his motley band; a dutiful pirate apprentice and his nurse; a modern Major-General and his virgin wards; and a Sergeant of Police and his skittish force to the Caribbean in a raucous and rowdy update complete with swordfights, sex appeal, and Sullivan's original music. Gordon Greenberg (Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris), Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde, the Musical), and John McDaniel ('The Rosie O'Donnell Show') co-conceived the adaptation.

Sam Mendes Begins Production On New Screenplay

Production begins in Connecticut this week on an untitled contemporary comedy directed by Academy Award winner Sam Mendes (American Beauty) from an original screenplay by Dave Eggers and Vendela Vida. The film is being produced and co-financed by Big Beach, with Focus Features co-financing and distributing worldwide.
